Fit Review! Werkshop Phoenix Athleisure Leggings

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday my husband and I drove around and noticed a lot of restaurants were closed up. It just made me very sad to think that when this is all over and we can all go out again, that many of our favorite stores and places to eat won't be there. So if you're in a place where you can support a small business, please do so.

Werkshop has always been one of my favorite small businesses to shop at and I have over a handful of their Athleisure leggings. I'm very happy to add another one to my collection!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size small in Werkshop. I also wear a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

Phoenix Athleisure Size Small

I've covered Werkshop leggings in the past but haven't done so in a while. Their athleisure leggings are super soft and smooth. The waistband is very similar to Lululemon Align bottoms which is why I love them so much. There is zero compression in these as well. The length is quite long and I also have them folded inwards when I wear them or I just leave them bunched up. The inseam measures 30 inches. The ankle has a relatively small opening. The artwork is always amazing which is the main reason I purchased the Phoenix. I've been meaning to pick these up for a while now, and with 2020 being such a crazy year, what better than a Phoenix to symbolize strength and renewal as we head into 2021?

I like wearing the athleisure leggings to lounge in, and now that it's colder the full length is actually something I want for warmth. I also like to wear these out while running errands. I'll wear them with boots or my Allbirds.

The artwork is incredible!

I've been having a hard time with the lighting these days. It's winter which means I get less and less light in the condo. I tried editing the photos to correct the colors but it still looks just a bit off to me. Too gray, and too yellow. Hopefully when the days start to get longer the photos will get back to normal!

Also in my collection are Nightmare and Owl and Jackalope. Those three are some of my favorites. If you prefer something for high intensity workouts with compression, I would try the triathlon leggings. They come in full length and capri.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful week. Let me know if you have any favorite small businesses you like to shop at and I'll check them out.

  1. So pretty! I’ve been eyeing Werkshop’s new leopard reversible collection. I hear it’s a new material that is supposed to be very soft and buttery! Would love a review if you get a chance!

    1. I did see their new reversible collection. I'm not really a leopard person so I was hoping to wait until Werkshop releases it in another print or design. But if enough people do want to see the leopard I will consider it!

  2. I love these on you! Based on the Nightmare print you previously reviewed, I purchased them a while back and really like how soft and stretchy they are. :D

  3. Of the four Werkshop leggings you’ve reviewed, this is hands down my favorite. The artwork is truly amazing and I love the colors too! To be honest bold prints are not something I would normally wear, but thanks for the review cos I really admire the beautiful artwork! Just checked out Werkshop’s website and all I say is wow!

    1. Thanks Andrea! The artwork really is gorgeous. I've only seen one other person wearing a pair of Werkshop pants here in Atlanta. They totally caught my eye even from far away. You should try a pair, they ship to Canada. =) They also make a pair in solid black too!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
