Fit Review Friday! Cates Tee, Adapted State Jogger, Wool Whenever Crew

Happy Friday! Are you guys done with your holiday shopping? I pretty much am. Shipping has slowed to a crawl as expected and I'm hoping everything arrives on time. Today I have a bunch of new reviews for you all. This is part one. Part two will be posted on Monday.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Cates Tee Sublimado Pigment Dye Cadet Blue Size 4

The Cates Tee has always been on my radar but I never wanted to pay full price for a cotton tee - $48. Ouch, right? When this one hit WMTM for $29 I decided to give it a shot. I purchased my usual size 4. I like the casual boxy fit and the length hits right at the top of my hips. It's really not too short at all on my petite frame. I also bought this in the gray sage color as well. Interestingly enough, the gray sage feels much softer compared to the faded cadet blue.

It's a very comfortable tee. The crew neck is generous and have no issues of it feeling tight. For $29, I still feel it's too high but at least I know I'll get use out of it. I really like the look, especially for summer as it is a very thin, light weight tee.

Next up, by special request I have the Adapted State Jogger in chambray. I'm wearing my usual size 4. I'm actually surprised the chambray is currently sold out. Makes no sense because to me, as this is a very spring color. I chose it because I figured it would photograph the best out of the colors available.

Adapted State Jogger Chambray Size 4

My inseam measures 25 to 26 inches. I'm on the shorter end of the spectrum. The Adapted State Jogger measures 28 inches in the size 4. As you can see it is very bunchy at the bottom. The waistband is fairly tight on a size 4. There isn't that much stretch to it, which is surprising. Although, I didn't find it uncomfortable, so I would say it's true to size. Sizing up would definitely be too big. The waistband is also high rise and covers my belly button.

There is a zippered pocket to keep your items safe guarded. There is also a zipper at the cuff. The fabric is soft and made of quick drying material. These are designed for running, which may explain the tight waistband? I would not consider these for lounging.

(I have the pant pulled up a little bit to show zipper detail.)

Last item for today is the Wool Whenever Crew in Savannah, also a fit request. I ordered my usual size 4, but I think I could have sized down in this top. The fit is quite boxy and slightly oversized. If you prefer this look stick to your usual size but I think this would have been more flattering in a size down.

Wool Whenever Crew Savannah Size 4

(The zipper is a very long ribbon pull.)

There is a zipper on the back, which I didn't expect for this sweeter. This is a medium heavy sweater and it's also lined on the inside making this extra warm and thick. It's also very soft as well. This is a wool blend, fleece fabric. The length isn't too short on me either, I would say it hits around mid hip. It is slightly shorter in the front, longer in the back.

(Lined in soft cotton jersey.)

Full price is $128. I think this is a little steep and I do expect this to be marked down. I didn't find it very flattering, but it is a warm sweater. The savannah color is very festive for the holidays. That's it for me! Let me know what you think of these pieces.

(Close up for texture.)

Have a great weekend!!

  1. Oooh - thanks for the review of the jogger! I've been eyeing them in Regatta Blue, but the reviews didn't seem great. The cuff at the bottom reminds me of a cheap Walmart windsuit or something, too. I hope we get Regatta Blue Aligns.

    1. Hah, it's actually black but because it's a close up the camera on my phone made it look lighter than it really is. But they're Werkshop!!! and I love them. They're my go to if I'm looking for a solid black. They don't pill which is a major plus.

  3. The Cates Tee looks flattering on you! Thanks for the review of the Adapted State jogger. It's definitely too long for petites!

    1. Thanks! I do like the fit of the Cates Tee, it's just a tad expensive for what it is. Agreed on the jogger. I have never found a pair from Lululemon that works for me.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
