Fit Review Monday! On The Fly Short 2.5 inches, Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew, Ease Of It All Short Sleeve

I'm back! Not having power and internet really is not fun. I do not have an easy time seeing things in the dark even with candles on and I was scared to move anywhere because I didn't want to accidentally step on any of my cats! 😩 Luckily I still had cellular data and was able to surf a little bit and check on things but also couldn't do it too much because I wanted to save my battery. I was soooo happy when all the lights turned on and thankfully they stayed on.

So back to our regular scheduled programming. This post was supposed to be up for Friday's fit review, so here we go!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

Wee Are From Space Iron Blue True Navy Size 4

This isn't my first On The Fly Short 2.5" review and probably not my last. I have a few pairs from last year. This is the wee are from space iron blue/true navy and I'm wearing my usual size 4. These are medium rise and I would say these fit mostly true to size. There is a drawstring at the waist to cinch if needed. I feel like they are slightly generous in the back. The length is great for any casual summer outfit. The color is a dark navy and it almost looks like it could be a gray at times. The fabric is luxtreme and feels very smooth. This pair would make a nice addition for summer outfits.

Next up we have the Ease Of It All Short Sleeve which I got on WMTM. I kinda wish I also picked up the dune color. It's a great off white neutral shade. I'm wearing size XS/S in black.

The fit is definitely oversized and boxy. The length hits at the hip for me. Even though this is a short sleeve top, the length of the sleeves hit at my elbow. I personally do not mind the extra coverage. This top runs very large and can easily fit size 6. The fabric is super soft modal that drapes nicely. It's an easy to wear tee you can throw over anything. Looks great with shorts, tights and I'm sure it would look effortless thrown over a pair of cute joggers and white sneakers. That's sort of my favorite look at the moment! I hope to see this top come back in more colors.

Lastly we have the Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew. I am wearing size 2 in chrome. I sized down in this based on the Perfectly Oversized Crew. I was swimming in the size 4 when I reviewed it in blue cast. Turns out I was right to size down. The chrome color is a very light gray.

I liked the length of the crop, it hit a little lower than my waist. It's ever so slightly shorter in the front and longer in the back. I found this to be quite comfortable to wear but I didn't love the combination of baggy sleeves and the long length. I find that it doesn't drape as nicely as the Soft Ambitions Crop Crew which I absolutely adore. The terry fabric also felt a little scratchy to me. It's possible it would soften up after wearing, but I prefer it to be soft right out of the bag! I didn't love the crop and for $98 I think this one is a little hard to swallow. That said I still would like to add a Perfectly Oversized Crew one day to my closet if the right color hits WMTM. Right now briar rose is on sale for $59!

That's it for me! I expect there will be an early upload tomorrow because of Election Day on Tuesday. See you all very soon!

  1. The Ease of It All SS and On The Fly shorts look great on you! I agree that dune is a very pretty neutral, but black looks good too!

    1. Allbirds has a Ease of it all SS Dupe in a dune color. I might have to try it... they just released a few items in their new clothing line. I have to admit I am intrigued.

  2. Okay, those shorts are cuuute! I still haven't tried them but might need to now. I'm a tts 2 but size down to a 0 in OTF, so they are a bit more fitted. I'll probably do the same with the shorts--especially since you found they are generous in the back. (I am NOT generous in the back!)

    1. I have heard some prefer to size down for the OTF line. I usually can't do that because then the waist would be too tight for me. Let me know if you do try these out and how you like them.

  3. The OTF Short looks great on you and the color is really pretty. I love my OTF 7/8 Pants and hope it will come out in the same color. I don’t size down on my OTF cos the rise would be too tight though the waist and hip might fit better.

The Perfectly Oversized Crop Crew is cute but definitely overpriced.

    1. Thanks Andrea! I think this color in the crops would look great too. I might be tempted to get another pair as well.

  4. I've always wanted to try On The Fly shorts but I haven't gotten to it. I like the cropped crew but maybe for $50 definitely not $100!

    1. Yep I agree with you on the crop crew! Very over priced for what it is.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed
