Cherrico Pottery Giveaway!

Many of you know about my love of handbags, but I also am a collector of pottery. I don't have a lot of pieces but I do have many from this one artist I discovered a few years back. His name is Joel Cherrico and he makes some of the most beautiful pieces of useable art.

I'll introduce you to a few of my favorite pieces and in the spirit of Thanksgiving this week, if you want to experience Joel's artwork for free, please leave a comment below to be entered in to the giveaway. This giveaway is open to US and Canada residents only.

This is the Cosmic Mug and my first piece.

I heard about Joel from one of my co-workers who was obsessed with watching his videos. He will live stream himself making pottery a few times a month. He answers questions if people have any for him and if you're into pottery you can learn a lot by watching him.

(I actually plan to hang this one up on the wall at some point.)

I love the details and textures in this particular Moon Mug combined with the blue and orange colors really make this one special. I fell in love instantly! I find great satisfaction and happiness everyday using one of these mugs/cups for my morning tea/cold beverages. I do try to rotate them to give them all equal love. 😍

The Neptune Mug is my newest addition. It's also the most expensive, but I managed to get it at 50% off. It took Joel a few years to figure out how to create this mug. Apparently it is very difficult to make because he has to hang these mugs sideways during the firings in order for the glazes to blend perfectly together. I absolutely love this mug and it's my favorite.

There is a galaxy theme to most of his pieces. The mountain mug is one of the few exceptions. He also has Nuka Iron pieces like the one below. I am giving away this Nuka Iron Cup to one lucky winner. I already have a pair of these Nuka Iron cups and just received this one from being a Patreon member. I subscribed to the $5 a month tier and after 9 months Joel sends you a free cup. He has a few higher tiers but I basically wanted the extra coupons and free shipping that comes with being a member. Once a month he will send out a coupon for 40-50% off. Sometimes the coupons are even deeper discounts than that. It's how I managed to score all of these pieces including the Neptune Mug. Otherwise the prices are really high. There is some controversy as to how much he charges for his pieces but it is art and it is not for everyone, but I like to support artists when I can.

This Nuka Iron Cup is beautiful with brown and gold drips. This style is very organic including imprints of his fingers to show it is 100% hand made and one of a kind. Very easy to hold because of the indents on the cup. Would be great for drinking wine or any cold beverage. I will say that Joel's pieces tend to be on the heavier side which I really like. This is also dishwasher safe, but I prefer to hand wash.

Intentional fingermarks.

To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment below. If you prefer using the Anonymous option- just include your name and last initial in the comment. I'll announce the winner on Friday and all you have to do is send me an email with your address and I will ship this Nuka Cup to you for free! This is open to US and Canada residents only. Good luck!

In other news, Lululemon is starting their Black Friday Sale earlier than ever. It starts tomorrow. I am not sure what time so best thing to do is to just keep checking every hour. 😆 Happy shopping everyone!

  5. Beautiful Pottery. I agree, living art. Its wonderful to have things like that in our daily life and routine. I always say that someday I'll get a chance to make pottery....Someday...Although I'm feeling distracted lately with a desire to play with glass more and more. These are fantastic pieces.

  8. Those are such cool works of art! I love the space theme and the neutral and blue colors. I think he charges fair prices for his work because it requires a lot of skill, time, and creativity.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
