Athleta Girl Head Start Hoodie and Cross Back Hooded Top

How was everyone's weekend? Hope you all got to eat, shop and rest. I have some more Athleta reviews while we wait for my Lululemon orders to arrive. However, the heathered cranberry Scuba Hoodie did arrive and I think we have a winner! I hope to have the review up for Friday's post.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically wear XL/XXL in Athleta girls. I'm also a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

This is one of the softest hoodies I own. Even my husband noticed how soft it was and commented. I'm wearing size XXL and it is just slightly oversized. The XL would have also fit but I prefer the oversized look these days. This is a light weight top and great for layering. I really like the cross back detail and the knit texture.

There are kangaroo pockets in the front to keep your hands warm. There's also a hidden pocket inside the kangaroo pocket to keep your wallet or cell phone more secure. There are also thumbholes which is a nice touch. I pretty much took the tags off this one right away. For $44 I think it's a good deal for us petites! Next up we have the Head Start Hoodie in light gray camo. I took these pictures on a separate day which is why they look a little warm, as the sun was going down.

I'm actually wearing this hoodie right now as I'm typing up this post. It's super soft on the inside, lined with light fleece. I'm also wearing size XXL in this as well. If I wanted a more fitted look I would have gone with the XL but again, I kinda like this cozy relaxed look these days.

This also has kangaroo pockets and thumbholes as well. Also similarly priced just a little more at $49, definitely a great buy and right now there is a 20% off sale which makes it even sweeter. Between the two hoodies I find it really hard to choose, but maybe I would go with Head Start Hoodie just because it has fleece on the inside which makes it a little warmer with winter coming. Overall, very pleased with both from Athleta girls! If you're petite like me some of their pieces are definitely worth checking out.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a fab Monday!

  1. Both hoodies look so comfy! They don’t look huge on you and I love the oversized look as well. I personally like the Cross Back Hoodie better because of the texture and the cute details on the back. Oh well I’m probably biased cos grey is my favorite color! ;)

  2. I love the look of the material of the cross back hoodie and I like the cut of the head start hoodie more. It's more versatile I think. I'm going to check out the Athleta sale now

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
