Fit Review Friday! Athleta Organic Daily Camo Crew, Uptempo Hoodie, Mindset Sweatshirt

Happy Friday everybody! Today we have a fitting room review from Athleta. Shopping in person is still a really strange thing for me. Masks at all times and it is hard trying to social distance from other customers while browsing. I guess this is the new normal for now!

For reference I am 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically size 4 in Lululemon and this translates to size XS/PXS in Athleta.

I'm wearing size XS in the Organic Daily Camo Crew and this is a semi-fitted tee. I definitely like the fit and found it to be flattering. The length is just a tiny bit too long on my petite torso, but otherwise I liked this a lot. I may want to try this in the petite size. Athleta stores do not carry a petite section, unfortunately. I wish they would! This is a thin t-shirt made of organic cotton which is why it is priced at $49. Definitely a little pricey even for organic cotton in my opinion. The color laurel olive is a nice subtle version of camo. This also comes in a variety of colors. The stream blue is a nice twist and reminds me more of clouds than camo.

Next up we have the Uptempo Hoodie. I'm wearing size XS. I found this to be a tunic length on me. I think it would look really cute with some leggings. This is also semi-fitted and made of super soft fabric. This hoodie also has thumbholes as well. The color is a saturated dark teal. These pictures do not do it justice because of the lighting in the fitting room. There is also a drawstring for the hood, although I do not know why the strings are so long. They almost reach my belly button! 😂

Cute side slit.

Overall, I do like this a lot and think the agate purple would be even better than the bali green!

Next, we have the Mindset Sweatshirt. I grabbed this in a size small and extra small just to see if I prefer the oversized look or not. Here I am wearing size small in dark surf teal heather. The fit is just slightly loose and very casual. It wasn't oversized at all, but this material is super soft and clingy and between the two sizes I actually preferred the size small even though the sleeves are a tad long. The body length was fine.

Next is the flora mauve color in size extra small. The fabric is beyond soft and on the thinner side of sweatshirt material, you can easily see the outline of my bra underneath. I think either size works, just personal preference if you prefer slightly casual look versus a more fitted look. This sweatshirt comes in a variety of colors and this also comes in petite!

This top does cling a bit to lumps and bumps. I would personally size up to avoid this.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a relaxing weekend!

  1. Both colors of the Mindset Sweatshirt Dark Surf are nice and I kind of like how size small fits on you. Love the slightly oversized look. The material does look a bit thin to me tough.

    1. Agreed... it is super soft, but it's also fairly thin material. I'll wait for something a little more substantial!

  2. I like how the Uptempo Hoodie drapes on you! It's very flattering. I agree that it would look beautiful in a plum/mauve colour! By the way, your leggings look great on you! I miss Ivivva!

    1. Good eye! Those were the joggers I bought earlier this year. I love them. I miss Ivivva too. There's still Athleta girls but their joggers/sweatpants are running very big around the ankles lately, they look strange.

  3. I like the tee and both sweatshirt colors! I used to not like super oversized items but I'm in love with more oversized sweaters rn

    1. Same here, I don't mind the oversized look and feel. I think it's cute and it's super comfy which is a plus... I'm all about being comfortable these days.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
