Fit Review! All Yours Crew Sandwash & Scuba Hoodie Heathered Violet Verbena

Hope you all had a nice weekend! Pretty excited for today's post. I ordered the All Yours Crew Sandwash in iron blue. If you're a fan of the Soft Ambitions line, you'll love this one too.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

Before I get into it, I purchased my normal size 4 and a size 6 in case I preferred the oversized look. You'll see a lot of photos that look like I'm repeating it twice, but it's to show the size difference.

There are two ways to wear this sweatshirt. You can have it folded in and pulled up a little bit, or have it pulled down to cover your bum. I actually prefer to wear this the first way with it pulled up and I'll tell you why. In my normal size 4, the band hits my upper thigh and it is a little tight, not super tight but it's a similar feel as if you had a light resistance band around your upper thigh. This might not be so much of an issue if you're a bit taller than me and it falls maybe at the hip. To alleviate this, I pulled the band up so it sits above my hip. Styled this way, it won't cover your bum but you're free to walk anyway you please.

The size 4 overall fits pretty well. The sleeves are a little long but not awful. The length when pulled down hits my upper thigh. I did find the neck hole to be a little small. I had a little bit of an issue trying to get my head through the hole with my glasses on. Ouch!

Full bum coverage which is nice.

The fabric is insanely soft. It has the soft brushed feel exactly like the Soft Ambitions line. I love the crop crew I bought a couple of months back and wear it often with a longer tee-shirt underneath now that it's a bit chillier. The color is a a bit chameleon like. Sometimes it looks like a deeper blue like the website, but at other times it can look a bit teal. I think the above photo is fairly close to what it looks like in real life.

This is a close up to show the sueded look of the fabric.

       -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the size 6. It's a little bit bigger overall compared to the size 4. The sleeves are a bit too long and there's definitely a lot of extra fabric. I do find myself pushing the sleeves up quite a bit with the size 6. The band is also roomier which means I found it to be non restrictive when walking. When I tried to pull up the band the same way as the size 4, it didn't quite stay up and would fall back down after awhile.

I think the size 4 definitely fits better and looks better. However the size 4 is not as comfortable as the size 6. I found the neck hole on the size 6 to be bigger and didn't have an issue getting my head through with my glasses on. The oversized look is definitely in at the moment, so either size could work. It just depends with what you're willing to put up with!

Next up, we have another Scuba Hoodie. I won't go too much into detail since I've covered probably a dozen of these if not more.

You all know I love my hoodies and violet verbena is right up my alley, so I had to order this color to try. I'm wearing a size 6, which I realize is bigger than usual, but I prefer the loose fit in hoodies these days. Sad to say this one is going back because it's a bit thinner than what I prefer my Scuba Hoodies to be. It wasn't as cozy as I expected. Other than that, I really loved the color. I'm really not sure why some Scuba Hoodies are thicker than others? Does anyone know why? This one wasn't as plush as my last Scuba Hoodie in heathered cherry tint.

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great Monday!

  2. Thanks for the fit review, Leslie! I was interested in the Scuba Hoodie in Heathered Violet Verbena as well cos the color is so pretty. Of all the Scuba versions, the Scuba Hoodie Light is my favourite and I currently have four, most of which unfortunately have faded in colors due to repeated washing, I was hoping to get a couple Heathered color ones which don’t fade but too bad the Heathered Violet Verbena one is thinner than expected.

I love how the All Yours Crew size 4 looks on you and it’s kind of cute! The size 6 is definitely too big in my opinion. It’s funny how Iron Blue looks so different on different products, at least on the Lululemon website. On some products it looks more towards navy but it’s so pretty in this crew with the sandwash effect. I don’t wear crew that often though but would definitely consider getting something in Iron Blue, like a Scuba Hoodie Light or a Radiant Jacket. I’ve been wearing my Radiant Jackets a lot lately and love that it has a high color and is hood free. :)

    1. Ah jealous the Radiant Jacket works for you. I've always loved the look, but doesn't work on my frame- def too short.

Iron blue really is pretty, if they released this fabric in a hoodie, I think I would definitely purchase! The All Yours Crew is pretty nice to lounge in, I'll admit to that!

  3. Thanks for your review! I feel like both sizes work. I wish they had this in a POC cut but I don't need anymore of those! Soo I'd probably pick the more fitted size since the band can fold up. BUT I also like the oversized look a lot rn haha! If this goes on WMTM I'll pick one up. I want the POC cropped version to come out! Strange the Scuba Hoodie is thinner. I didn't know that but I also only have a heathered grey one.

    1. Yes I think if it does hit WMTM I will probably pick one up. The graphite gray looks really nice too. I can't believe the ivory color sold out already! If they make this in the POC, I might be interested in getting one too.

  4. Definitely prefer the look of size 4 but keep the larger size if it is cozier. I have a All Yours Hoodie Fleece in size S (6?). It is definitely oversized on me but I just want to snuggle with it, lol. I only have two older Scuba Hoodies. I love the softness of the current version but it puckers in the front because it is too long on me. All the money that I have saved for being short!

    1. Hah! I dunno if I'm saving any money right now. My quarantine closet really kind of exploded. LOL.

  5. Thanks for the review. The All Yours Crew in size 4 looks really good on you! Good to know that it's soft. If it goes to WMTM, I'll try to make it mine!

    1. Definitely! I'm thinking the same, if the graphite gray makes it on WMTM I think I'll get it.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
