Fit Review Friday! Rails Hunter Plaid Shirt

Happy Friday! I have a really awesome Lululemon fit review coming up for you guys next week. The weather in Atlanta has been completely cloudy and rainy the past few days. Looks like it will finally be sunny on Sunday. 🌞 I'll have to photograph everything then and will likely split it into two posts. I also caved and ordered the Hotty Hot Short Long in gray sage along with my third In Alignment Bra in black

So as you can tell, these two shirts were photographed on two different days. One before my haircut and one after! 😆 It's pretty funny to see side by side. I'm already putting together my fall wish list and Rails Hunter Plaid shirts were a must have. I already have one from last year and love it. I wear it often and it's very soft. It's the perfect layer when a hoodie is too much for warm weather but you still want something soft and cozy wrapped around you and I've found the solution. That is a Rails Hunter Plaid Shirt.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops. For Rails I'm wearing a size XS and it is a slim fit. If you do want a looser fit, I would size up.

I can't get over how soft the fabric is. It's described as buttery soft and I can admit that Rails makes the softest button down I've ever owned. It is somewhat delicate since the care instructions says hand wash only. I have washed it in a mesh laundry bag using the delicate setting and have had great results.

I'm wearing size XS and it is true to size. I would not go any smaller, but I would consider going up a size if I wanted a more looser oversized look. The price is steep. These cost $158 a pop. I did however manage to both of these on sale. Whenever I see a 30% or 40% off is when I click add to cart and check out fast!

(This one is very similar from Nordstrom.)

This one I fell in love with because of the dark gray and a subtle hint of blue. Perfect for fall. I know I'll be wearing both of these a lot! Do you have a Rails Hunter shirt? This is my 2nd and 3rd one and I'm sure I'll be back for more next year.

(They look great with the sleeves rolled up.)

(has some really nice ones.)

And if you missed it- WMTM post!

Have a great weekend everybody!

    1. Happy Friday! I am starting to realize they can also be addictive to collect. I've been watching Billions and the wife Lara wears a lot of plaid shirts and I wonder if they're Rails. haha!

  2. Thanks for the fit review! Never heard of the brand and they are kind of expensive!!! The shirts do look amazing on you though, especially the grey one which you can definitely dress it up if needed!

Looking forward to your Lulu reviews! I ended up not keeping the Beyond the Studio Jacket cos neither 2 or 4 fits me well. I hope Lulu will come up with a nice French Terry wrap this fall.

    Have a nice weekend!

    1. Thanks Andrea! The blue one is pretty nice for spring/summer. But the gray one is def my favorite so far.

Yes if you're not 100% on the Studio Jacket then returning is the right call. There will always be something new every week to look forward to!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
