Fit Review Friday! Sights Seen Jacket Iced Iris

Happy Friday! Can't believe it's another week already. I've been working from home for over 100 days now. It's mind boggling to me that three months have passed. Three months since we ate at a restaurant. I wonder when we will feel safe eating at a restaurant or seeing a movie at a theatre. Who knows?

What I do know is I have another Lululemon review for you guys today! I'm covering the Sights Seen Jacket in Iced Iris.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

The color is a very pale lilac. It looks more pink in my photos, but I would say the website looks more accurate. That said, it's fairly underwhelming in person. I kind of wish it had a little more pink to it or a little more purple. The outside of this jacket is made of swift fabric. The inside lining is made of a soft luon fabric according to the description from the website. It's a lightweight jacket that's perfect for spring temperatures or cool summer nights.

I like the cinchable cord at the waist. That little detail is nice. The back of the jacket is made up of two layers. They are actually separate pieces that you can slide your hands in-between and is connected at the top of the jacket. I hope that makes sense. The back of the jacket is much cuter than the front. The front seems a bit plain to me. There are two zippered side pockets. The zipper is plastic and the quality wasn't great on the one I received. The zipper kept getting stuck and it's not a smooth zip.

The thumbholes are nice. The sleeves are a little long on my petite frame but not awful. There is a zipper garage and when zipped all the way up, the neckline is a bit too high for me, it goes up to my mouth. The side profile definitely looks very flattering and gives my body some shape.

I like the ruffles at the back of the collar.

The front looks better as a half zip with the collars flared out. I think that makes the jacket look a little more interesting. But given the zipper quality and the plain front, it's a pass for me. $128 isn't a bad price for the details on this jacket, but I expected a little more from Lululemon in terms of quality. That said it is a very comfortable jacket to wear. I find it to be true to size.

What do you guys think of this jacket? I also received the Quiet Within Bra in black and rustic coral. The rustic coral is actually quite pretty in real life. It's definitely a coral color, the perfect blend of orange and pink.

That's Neko!

That's it for me! Have a great weekend everybody!

    1. Hi Andrea! Totally agree with you 100% The front is just missing something. I'm not sure what though. The back and the side look great. The front is just not very Lulu. I think it needs some ruffles on the front to match the side and back?

    2. Ooops! Sorry I deleted the comment by mistake!

Thanks for the review cos I was really interested in the jacketI love how it looks on you from the side, and it’s kind of interesting with the cinch details plus double layers in the back. However, the front just doesn’t look right to me. Look at the last picture LOL!

Too bad cos I’ve been waiting for Lulu to come out with a jacket with feminine details. I had high hopes on the Sights Seen Jacket but something just doesn’t seem right to me. I was wearing my Gather Me Slightly Jacket the other day and loved the ruching details which made the jacket so Lulu.

    3. Adding ruffles might make the jacket too busy (with the two layers already). Maybe the front was just a bit too long on us petites.

  2. I think the color of the Sights Seen jacket is pretty on you but agree that it’s pretty underwhelming in person. I keep hoping that Lululemon puts out some new and exciting hoodies and jackets, but so far I haven’t seen anything that really interests me. I’ve had more luck with Athleta lately.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. Agreed. I'm surprised at how much I like Athleta lately. I have a review coming up from Athleta girls next week. BTW I am loving the Solace Bra. I ordered another one in black! Time for me to unload more FTBW bras.

    2. The Solace bra is my favorite everyday bra. I’m glad you tried and liked it too!

  3. You got more of the quiet within bra! I want to pick up those colors too. I think the Jacket sleeves look a bit long in a weird way because of the long cuff and the front is kinda bland. Still a pretty jacket but not my favorite.

    1. Yes I love the bra. It's really comfortable. I'm hoping Lulu will release more prints and colors. Would love to replace my FTBW bras with this one.

  4. The Quiet Within Bra I ordered just arrived and I love it! Was wearing the Free to Be Wild Bra and no5iced how much more freedom I had at the shoulder blades once I put on the Quiet Within Bra! I also love how narrow the band is. It’s definitely a keeper and I hope it will be a new staple item! Would love to get it in grey, purple and space dyed pattern!

    1. Yay!! Glad you love it too. Yes the straps on the FTBW bras are really starting to dig into the tops of my shoulders. Looking to replace a few more of them with other bras, which is why I bought all three colors of the Quiet Within Bra. Would love to see a space dye pattern and a purple! Yes please! BTW I got the Perfectly Oversized Crew today and it is huge in my normal size 4. Can easily size down to a 2. Might even be a 0! I'll have a review up soon!

    2. Lululemon restocked the Quiet Within Bra in all three colors so I went ahead to order one in Iced Iris just now! Not a peachy color person so I’m not sure about the Rustic Coral, and definitely hope Lulu will offer more colors in this amazing bra! The straps my FTBW are starting to dig into the top of my shoulders as well. Hoping to replace some bras but yikes they are so expensive!

Cant wait to read your fit review on the Perfectly Oversized Crew! I was thinking of getting it in a size 0 too! :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    3. I agree- replacing bras are really expensive. $50 a pop. Ouch. But it's a necessity! I'm debating if I want to try re-ordering the Perfectly Oversized Crew in size 0...

    4. Is Blue Cast as pretty as it looks on the website? And is the sweatshirt really comfy and cute? If so, for sure go ahead and order it in size 0 (lucky you, this color is completely sold out on the Canadian site ...). If you don’t LOVE it, I would say forget about it. Honestly this sweatshirt is overpriced and it has to be perfect to worth the price LOL!

    5. Yes it's really pretty in person. I would say it's an accurate photo on the website. It is very comfy and I think would look cute if I bought a smaller size. But for $108+ tax? I don't know if it's that cute. It's soft but not OMG soft. So I think it's probably better if I got it on sale!!

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Happy May! Can't believe summer is right around the corner. I'm looking forward to visiting my family later this month. It's been nearly a year since I've been back to NYC.
