Fit Review! Align Wide Leg Crop 23

Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I have a quick little fit review for you today. I received the Align Wide Leg Crop 23" in the mail on Friday and I picked black over violet verbena even though I was very tempted by the pretty lilac shade.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

First thing- I found this to be true to size. I'm usually a size 4 in my Align Crops and these fit the same. The fabric is the same buttery soft nulu that we all love. I think these are very petite friendly given the 23" length and they look very stylish and classy. The width of the pant leg isn't overly wide and overwhelming which I really like. They are cut pretty straight from the thigh.

One thing I wasn't a huge fan of is the super high rise. These almost reach my lower rib. It's that high. I find it a little uncomfortable with how high these are so for me it's a pass even though I do think they look amazing and very flattering.

I think the length is perfect. They fall just above my ankles and look really cute with my new Allbirds wool loungers. I just got these as well and will have a review coming up soon. I love that there are pockets but they do flare out just a little bit, but not enough to bother me. For $98, are they worth the money? Hmmmm I would say it's pretty close. I think $88 would be a little more fair, but they're a nice piece to add to your stay-at-home loungewear part of your wardrobe.

  1. Out of all the wide leg crops you have done reviews on- the aligns look the best on you! They make your legs look longer. I know the waist is high, but it would go well with crop tops. You should consider keeping those!

    1. I'll try it on again to see if I can deal with the super high waist, but generally they just make me feel like I have a corset on. lol!

  2. Agree with Sherry. The length is good for a petite body and the crop does look very flattering on you. The width of the hem is perfect and makes you look taller. Unless it’s really uncomfortable with the high waist band, you should consider keeping it. Makes me wanna try it out too but I’m worried about the pilling issues. All my Aligns are in printed/embossed materials which I feel are less prone to pilling. I had black Groove Pants (Luon) before and the pilling was terrible. Not sure about solid color Nulu but the comments are not that positive.

    1. Hmmm I have a bunch of Align Crops in the solid colors and rotate them enough that the pilling is fairly minimal. But I did have one pair that I wore A LOT and the pilling did get pretty bad and I had to retire it. Was very sad!

  3. I’m with you on the super high rise fit, I find it very constrictive and uncomfortable. They are cute pants but I wouldn’t be comfortable in them.

    1. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way! Seems like almost everyone loves the high rise.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
