Fit Review! Anthropologie- Cambridge Knit Blazer & The Essential Cropped Flare Pant

How is everyone doing? Due to the coronavirus, the entire company I work for is working from home this week as a "test week". Chances are we will probably have to continue working from home for a longer period of time. My husband is going stir crazy. Meanwhile I'm fine with staying indoors. It's like a staycation to me.

This shopping excursion took place a couple of weekends ago when everything wasn't so scary out in the world. I went to Anthropologie for some new work clothes. I wanted to pick up a new blazer and a pair of pants.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size XS in Anthropologie. I'm usually a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. By the way, the lighting in Anthropologie was very dark and yellow, so the photos look a little too warm. I tried to adjust some of them. Some came out okay, others are still too warm like the one below.

I was really surprised at how much I liked this blazer. The fabric is a very cozy knit. Very soft and super comfortable. The size XS is a tad big on me, but I feel like it still looks professional. I love the way it fits and the patch pockets are a plus. The color is green, but it really looks gray to me.

The Essential Cropped Flare Pant are perfect for petites. I'm wearing size XS and the length is perfect with my booties. The length is 27 inches long. This is a pull on style that is very comfortable. The only caveat is no pockets at all. The plaid motif and the leg lengthening seam that runs down the pant is very flattering. They're also currently on sale! I can already tell these will be a favorite of mine and will get worn a lot.

Something random- I saw this sign and really got a good laugh.

In other news, Lululemon announced they are shutting their doors until March 27th. I think the entire world should just go on a mandatory shut down for two weeks and just get it over with. I hope things return to normal soon, but I have a feeling things are going to get a lot worse before they get better.

I've been getting a lot of emails from all the brands I shopped at in the past. I understand they are trying to build brand loyalty with these emails. I always read them and see if they are going to compensate their workers during the time the stores are closed. So far I've seen this from Rothy's, Allbirds, Anthropologie, and Lululemon. Makes me love these brands even more.

I will do my best to keep my blog up during this time. I like having some sort of normalcy in my life. I hope you're all staying indoors and being good! Stay safe everyone.

Not a big fan of patterned pants but this pair looks amazing on you. Very flattering and makes you look taller! :D

    1. Thank you! Back in the day I used to only shop at Anthro. They used to post new items up for sale on Tuesdays, I think and I would check every week!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
