Fit Review Friday! Down For It All Jacket, Day Maker Full Zip Hoodie, Sincerely Yours Wrap Sweater, Align Crop Cross Waist, Love Crew Fade
It is finally my birthday and I'm officially 39. 😑 I tried to make the best of it by going to the mall even though it was pouring rain all day and we even got a flash flooding notice on my iPhone. Turned out I made the right call by going anyway! This post is super image heavy. Normally I would split a trip like this into two posts, but it is too good not to share all at once. There are almost forty photos! Let's get started!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
I'm not sure what color this is. My guess would be porcelain pink or smoky blush. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and it fits perfectly, almost too perfect. It is slim fit and if you want to layer or wear anything bulky underneath, I would size up. The color is just lovely though!
I really didn't expect to like this color so much and was sorely tempted to purchase this, but decided not to since I don't really need another jacket, although I do need some kind of rain jacket as I realize I do not have anything appropriate for warm rainy weather.
The length hits at the hip and the sleeves are long, you can see they are very bunchy and not very flattering. Still a very cute jacket. Especially in this pink color!
Next up, you all asked for a review of the Day Maker Full Zip Hoodie in lunar rock and here it is!
The color is kind of a brown-purplish gray. It was hard to capture on the iPhone because of the back lighting. It is a very pretty neutral in my opinion. The first thing I noticed is how soft it felt. It doesn't say that it is made of nulu fabric, but it sure felt like it.
This is also a very slim fitting jacket and once I zipped it up completely, I felt very tucked in. It was still comfortable, but definitely feels like you're wearing a bodycon dress. The sleeves are long, but not quite as long as the Radiant Jacket, but it was close.
It feels okay with the thumbholes but without using the thumbholes, they are way too long. The length of the jacket hits below the bum. This is a lightweight jacket and would be a great spring/early summer piece.
Overall, I liked the jacket, but not quite enough to purchase it. It is true to size and if you're in-between sizes, definitely size up.
From Tuesday's upload I really wanted to try the Sincerely Yours Wrap Sweater, especially in the tidewater teal. I'm normally not a green person but this one really called my name. It's not overly green. I want to say it has a blue tint to it. Almost like a seafoam green.
I really was hoping I wouldn't like this in person, but it was love at first sight. The feel of this wrap is so soft and luxurious there was no stopping me from swiping my card. Do I think it's worth the price of $158 plus tax? Probably not. But it is my birthday so I decided to splurge a little bit on myself! I'm wearing size XS and I feel very comfortable in this. The sleeves are just a little bit long and there are thumbholes, which is nice!
I also like the fact that this is something I can wear to the office. The details on this wrap is what makes it extra special. It is also made of cashlu which explains the coziness. I also like the duster length. Can't wait to wear this one out!
Next up we have the Align Crop 21" Cross Waist in the diamond dye stargaze pitch gray. The first thing that comes to mind is how buttery soft this pair felt. All of my Align Crops feel buttery soft, but this one was just extra buttery soft.
The print itself is okay, the gray and white coalescing reminds me of marble. I am not 100% loving the contrasting seams though. I would have preferred if they used a lighter color for the seams. I was wearing a light color pair of underwear, and it passed the bend test, but I can't say it is opaque 100% if you're wearing a dark colored underwear.
I'm wearing my usual size 4 and these are true to size. The waist is high and it hits my belly button in the front but the sides are even higher because of the cross waist band. It's a very cute look.
The waist band sits very high up my back.
Love Crew Fade Size 2
I decided to give the Love Crew another try to see if I still didn't like it. The curve hem really does not flatter me at all. I'm wearing a size 2 here, but I think the 4 would be better because of the chest/armpit area. The length would still be an issue. If I did purchase this I would opt to hem it straight across. I do like the color here, although it doesn't seem to be on the website. Maybe it's a new color?
Not much else to say about this tee except it is very thin and slightly see-through. It reminds me of J.Crew's tissue tees.
I liked the pink Down For It All Jacket so much I decided to grab the night diver from the sale rack to try. A bunch of colors are on sale for $139. I think for that price the jacket is worth it. But I do think I prefer the pink color more!
That's it for me! Hope you all enjoyed my shopping trip to Lululemon. I did manage to hit up Coach and Athleta as well, which I will write about next! Have a fantastic weekend everybody!!
