Fit Review! Scuba Sherpa Hoodie Long Reversible

Hi everyone! Today's review will cover the Reversible Scuba Sherpa Hoodie in heathered spanish oak.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops. Here I am wearing a size 0.

Most reviews I read said the hoodie runs large, so I sized down to a size 0 when normally I'm a size 4. Sometimes a size 2. The size 0 fit overall in the body. It was still loose in the chest and arms but it is the style for this kind of jacket. As usual, the sleeves were much too long on me. The sherpa itself felt soft to touch.

The main issue I had with this jacket is the length. It hit a few inches above my knee and the wide band at the hem tapers in which makes it feel tight. I would have preferred if the jacket ended where the band begins. I think that would have been a better length. I also have hips which doesn't make it flattering from the back.

For me, I wasn't a fan of the sherpa side. Let's see how it looks on the reverse side. The heathered spanish oak is a very pretty color, I loved it in the Radiant Jacket but it didn't have the same effect for the Reversible Scuba Sherpa Hoodie. The pockets accentuate the hips and makes the jacket look like a sleeping bag. That's actually what my husband said when I tried it on in front of him and he's not wrong. 😂

It looks a little better from a distance! The back still looks very shapeless and sloppy. I think this jacket would look much better on someone who is taller. It looks totally fine on the models on the website, but sadly this isn't very petite friendly.

However if it's super cold and all you care about is the warmth of this jacket and not so much the look, I would give it a much better review. The sherpa will definitely keep you toasty warm. With the hood and the length that covers almost the entire body, I think this would be a great jacket for winter especially when worn with the sherpa on the inside.

The pockets are nice and deep too.

Before I forget, I want to mention the Vinyasa Scarf I bought has two different sides. One side is completely camo, the other side is a heathered gray. It isn't shown on the website and I was surprised when I saw it at the store, but I actually like it even more that it can be worn three different ways if one day you're not feeling the camo, you can wear the heathered gray side. You can also mix it up and do half and half. I think it keeps things interesting!

That's it for me! Hope you all have a wonderful week!

  1. I had a feeling that the Scuba Sherpa Hoodie Long would be too big on you. Mine is very long! But like you said, if you are more concerned about keeping warm than looking good, this hoodie fits the bill.

Maybe they should rename this hoodie to the Scuba Sherpa Sleeping Bag! :D

  2. The long scuba jacket does look like a cozy sleeping bag lol! I also dislike the tapered bottom which isn’t flattering on most body shapes. The only thing I like about this hoodie is the color combo.

    1. The colors are great together, wish it was more petite friendly.

  3. You're brave posting these pictures. This jacket doesn't work at all for you. In fact it reminds me of something a homeless person would wear, mainly because the fit isn't good.

I told myself no new Vinyasa scarves, but that one sure is tempting me. Looks great.

    1. Thanks! This is a review blog so I will post the pictures whether they look good on me or not. In the end, I hope it helps someone decide if they think it will work for them. =)

The Vinyasa scarf is a winner in my book!

  4. That long Sherpa would probably look better if the stretch band on the bottom was removed. Thanks for the review. Almost tempted to get the vinyasa!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
