Fit Review Friday! Store Try Ons Vinyasa Scarf, Radiant Jacket, Sit in Lotus Wrap II

Happy Friday! I am so looking forward to this long weekend. My office is closed for Martin Luther King day. I don't have any big plans but it's always nice to have an extra day off. The weekends always fly by. Today's post I will be covering a few items I tried on over the weekend.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops.

First thing I saw when I walked into the store was the Vinyasa Scarf in camo. Once I felt how soft it was, I couldn't resist. I have not purchased a Vinyasa Scarf in a long time. This is a nice addition to my small collection. The different shades of gray work nicely in this print. I cannot stress how soft this one is!!

Next up, Radiant Jacket in heathered spanish oak. I love the spanish oak color and I think it looks very pretty in the Radiant Jacket. I'm wearing a size 4 and was very surprised to find how well it fit. I was very pleased with how flattering I looked in it!

From the side it looks fitted and hugs the body. There is a slight pouch in the tummy area that poofs out a bit at times. It's not terrible but it is noticeable at certain angles. I really wish the sleeves were not super long, otherwise I would be very tempted to buy this jacket.

Why so LONG?!

I find this jacket to be so flattering except for the sleeve issue. I think this outfit works very well as a casual day for running errands. It even looks great with my Allbird Mizzles! The back of the jacket isn't as fitted as the front. A size 2 may have been more fitted in the shoulders and back, but may have been very tight around the hip area. If I were to purchase I think I would stick with the size 4.

I have never tried on the Sit in Lotus Wrap II before, and love how it looks in petrol blue. This blue is so deeply saturated it really makes the wrap stand out. I'm wearing size 4 and I like how it looks and feels. I could probably fit the size 2 as well, but the sleeves would probably be tighter.

This is a medium weight wrap. It feels substantial and the length hits mid thigh. The side is ribbed to add some visual texture and I think it works well. If not for the ribbing I think this wrap would look very boring.

I didn't 100% love this wrap because of the boxy back. Not sure why there is a seam that is off centered. I don't quite understand it? I do like that it has pockets and thumbholes. Perhaps if it made it to WMTM I might get one. I also really like it in the heathered plum color. It's made of 90% merino wool and I was surprised at how soft it was. I did not find it to be itchy at all.

Apparently this wrap can be flipped upside down to wear it in a cascading shorter length but I forgot to try that at the store. I think it looks very pretty worn that way as well and solves the boxy issue and the off centered seam.

Isn't the heathered plum color gorgeous?! I love it. I'm a sucker for wraps, it's my go to every single day. That's it for me! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Edit- update from a guest review that I had forgotten about! Photos of the wrap worn the other way. It is way too short in the back for me to consider it.

  1. The jacket is very flattering and I like the color of the wrap too. Thanks for all the fit reviews!

  2. Beautiful Vinyasa scarf! I'm not sold on the other things though.

  3. I have the Radiant jacket from last year and I’m
not crazy about how it also bunches up around my midsection. I have to pull it down a lot so I don’t like look like I have a belly pooch which gets annoying. I like the high neck design though, and I got the Spanish Rose color which is very pretty.

    The vinyasa scarf is pretty!

    1. That's interesting about the bunching up part around the tummy area. I didn't' notice it in the fitting room, but I was only standing around and not moving as much. I do like the high neck design as well. I would be tempted, but the long sleeves are a deal breaker for me.

  4. Thank you so much for the fit review! For some reason I thought the Vinyasa Scarf would feel stiff in Camo print and am indeed surprised to know that it is soft! I love the color mix but not sure about the pattern. I’m not a Camo girl.

You know how much I love my Radiant Jackets and I am actually thinking of grabbing another one in Heathered Spanish Oak. However, I’m not liking the silver zipper. The Spanish Oak color would go well and look so much nicer with a gold zipper! Same for the Night Diver color which is currently on sale. Just my opinion though. By the way, the Radiant Jacket looks very nice on you.

Remember I did a in store fit review for you, wearing the Sit in Lotus Wrap upside down (or was it a similar wrap?). It looks beautiful in the front but is ridiculously short in the back. Just doesn’t make sense to me.
The Petrol Blue color is gorgeous though.

Thanks again for the fit review and hope you’ll have a wonderful weekend! We are expecting 15 cm of snow here in Toronto!

    1. I'm not usually a camo person either, but I feel like the print isn't a super obvious camo.

The heathered spanish oak would probably look best with a rose gold zipper but the silver isn't bad, it actually blends nicely imo. The night diver is more stark because of the dark blue- so I agree with you there!

Ohhh yes now that you mentioned it, it does ring a bell. Here is your review!

I'll update my post with your photos of the back! Thanks again for reminding me.

That is super short in the back!!!

Yikes! Stay warm and safe my friend!

  5. The Radiant Jacket looks so good on you! I really want something in that Spanish Oak color now! The wrap is cute but I wouldn't wear it short in the back maybe unless with a dress? I gotta check out the camo vinyasa! I'm trying not to buy so much at the start of the year... eeps

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
