Coach Review! Troupe Tote 16 Micro Bag

Hi everyone! I went to Lululemon this weekend so I'll have a nice fit review Friday coming up at the end of the week! Today's post will focus on micro bags. They are very on trend at the moment and have been for a while. It seems like they aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

For this post, I'm reviewing Troupe Tote 16 by Coach in deep red. It's currently 50% off!

This is the first micro bag I've used. It's also a bag from Rent The Runway. I love getting to try out bags without having to buy them, thanks to my sister's account! If you're interested in trying Rent The Runway my sister has a referral code- RTRFAM11D1780. This code is $200 off your first two months of Unlimited ($100 off each month).

Do you ever wonder what really fits into micro bags? These tiny bags only fit your essential, every day items. For me it fits my keys, my three card cases and my iPhone X. I can also squeeze in my inhaler and chapstick if I wanted to, but that's basically it. Forget about a normal size wallet or sunglasses.

Super cute it is. Practical it is not. There is a bigger version of this bag that's currently half off as well. My co-worker saw the mini version I was carrying and loved it to much, she ordered the large version for herself. I'll take some photos of it when it arrives.

The handle is so tiny I could barely get my hand through. It's definitely a hand held bag or cross body bag only. I could not fit the handle over my wrist comfortably. The turn lock clasp is a nice detail but I had a hard time actually turning the little knob. The inside is nicely lined with microsuede. The smooth glove tanned leather feels buttery soft and light weight. I love the color. It is a berry red and gives a nice pop to any outfit. The brass colored hardware goes well with the red. Overall I would give this bag 3 out of 5 stars.

I'm currently lusting over the Willis 18 Top Handle in vermillion. It's a little bit bigger than the Troupe Tote 16. I may order it to see. What are your thoughts on the micro bag trend? Do you have one?

That's it for me! Hope everyone has a fab Monday!

  1. I really like the color of that Troupe Tote 16 but it is so tiny! Not sure how I feel about the size. And I prefer smaller sized purses. I have only two purses, both by Bed Stu, and love them. I’m super picky when it comes to purses which is why I have only two. I can never find anything that suits all my needs.

  2. It is definitely micro sized. I don't think it would be good as an everyday bag. That is amazing you only have two bags.... It's embarrassing to admit how many I have!

    1. Haha! I think because of my extreme bag pickiness, the two I have suit me. Makes my bank account and husband happy too. :D

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
