Fit Review! Every Journey Hoodie & Noir Crop

Hello! I'm back again. This time I have a review of the Every Journey Hoodie in Moonwalk. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

After reading reviews online, I grabbed a size 4 and a size 6 in the Every Journey Hoodie. In the photos, the size 4 is on the left, the size 6 is on the right. As you can see the size 4 looks more flattering, but is very fitted to the point where when zipped up, you can see every line underneath the jacket. The size 6 has more room to layer, but it also looks a little sloppy.

Size 4 on the left, size 6 on the right.

Comfort wise, the size 4 felt fine. It didn't feel tight because nulu is very stretchy. Unfortunately I didn't love it in either size to shell out $128. The color moonwalk also has a lot of visible seams. The black version is solid and perhaps would have been more flattering. The store did not have black in stock for me to try on.

Size 4 on the left, size 6 on the right.

I've had a few readers ask if I have tried on the Noir Crop. I actually did about a month or so ago at the store, but didn't post any photos because of how ridiculous I looked. It was borderline embarrassing to tell you the truth! The crop length was closer to full length on me and the pants were so wide I just laughed and took them off right away. In case you would like to try them on for yourself, they did run true to size in the waist. If you are close to my height, I would stay clear!

  1. The 4 definitely looks better on you.

BTW, what size are your feet. I'm not sure if you post the size of your shoe reviews but it would def help as a reference. I think I'm a true 4.5.But have to wear 5s because that's usually as small as shoes come. Have you tried the rothy size 4 kids loafers. Those fit just perfect on me although I like the sleeker look of the adult version more. But for $65 I figure I can't go wrong. Are you true 5? or a 4.5? My name is Cindy btw, I comment as anonymous because I don't want my email posted. Thanks

    1. I'm a size 5 in shoes, a size 5.5 in sneakers usually. I haven't seen many size 4.5 so I don't know if that's a better fit to be honest. But a size 5 usually works for me. I think I will place an order for the Rothy's kids in a size 4. Thanks for the advice Cindy!

  2. I caved and purchased the Every Journey hoodie in black and really like it. I also got one size smaller than I’d usually get. I find it very flattering, perhaps the black does a good job at hiding any weird lumps and bumps though. 😁

    1. Ah that's what I might have thought. Black is probably the way to go!

  3. I have the old Bhatki jacket in black swam and baroque blue and love the asymmetrical zipper so thought this new jacket would be nice, but it does't look quote right. I think it is too long and the nulu is not forgiving. Black would look better.

    1. Hi Shirley, agreed on all points! Black would be more flattering, but I didn't like it enough to spend $128... so hesitant on getting the black to try.

  4. I just got my Every Journey Hoodies in the mail (moonwalk and light chrome) and ugh, I wanted to love them so much but I just don't. :( They are right up my alley style wise. Love the longer length, the hood, the asym zipper, etc., but they just don't look high quality on. I got size 8 in both because the comments said to size up and I'm between a 6 and 8 in tops, so got the 8. The sleeves are baggy and the top looks a bit sloppy overall. And yea, the material shows every little lump and crease underneath. Plus I am not a fan of how the pockets stretch open when it's worn. Those small details just make it look cheap. I thought I'd love the moonwalk color but it's kind of drab and unflattering on me. I like the light chrome better but not enough. So disappointed. I'm returning both. Lulu needs to fix the issues with this one and come out with a round 2 that's higher quality.

    1. Agreed with you on all fronts. There's a slight chance the black color would work best, but still not enough for me to order one in the black to try. Maybe they will come out with another version. For now I am pretty happy with my Hooded Define jacket though! Have you tried that? It's definitely a size up jacket as well.

    2. Yup, love my hooded define, have it in the kind of camo/olive green color (can't remember the name). It's SO much more flattering! But for some reason I rarely wear it. I think because it's a bit shorter and I like my hoodies to cover my backside, plus it's difficult to wear over anything besides a tank but I don't like showing my arms so never wear tanks. Lol, oh well. Still totally eyeing the pink color one that just went on WMTM, ;)

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
