I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
The lunar new year items are on site but hidden. just search lunar!
ReplyDeleteI tried searching Lunar, New Year, it doesn't come up on the US side. At least for me it isn't working!
DeleteI am in Canada and all the items are available with the search. Sorry that you don't have access to it in the US. The nice prints are not online yet. Just the solid red and black items.
DeleteNothing for me either. My In Stride Jacket arrived yesterday and I like it a lot. I was thinking of getting it earlier but glad I waited and finally got it at half price. I love anything high collar, and I prefer In Stride over Stride cos I don’t use the hood anyway, and the former has a cleaner look.
ReplyDeleteI’m disappointed that Lululemon didn’t make a nice and thick French Terry Wrap this fall/winter. I don’t like the boolux or cashlu ones cos they snag easily for a dog person. Luckily my Savasana and Gratitude Wraps are still in pretty good shape.
Will you be going back home (New York) for Chinese New Year?
I've been tempted to try the Stride jacket but it looks very similar to the Radiant Jacket and I'm afraid it will have the same issues. Long sleeves.
DeleteI am liking the Transformation Wrap even if it is easily snagable. I'm wearing it mostly to work though and taking it off when I get home. Hopefully it will last longer that way.
I try and avoid going back for CNY because of how cold it usually is. Plus this year I'm really afraid because of the government being shut down. I hope it doesn't last into February but if it does, it will be chaos at the airports. I'll most likely head back around May since it should be warmer by then. Warm being not freezing cold! And no snow. Hopefully.
The sleeves on my In Stride Jacket are not that long when compared to Radiant Jacket. The body is long though, and I feel like a lean sausage when completely zipped up lol! I will probably wear it unzipped or zipped halfway up.
ReplyDeleteIt’s cold here in Toronto these few days and we are expecting 10-15 cm of snow this weekend. First major snow storm this winter. Gotta get our shovels ready!

ReplyDeleteI am in Australia and we have the Lunar New Year stuff. I am curious to know how the "Asia Fit" stuff actually fits Asian bodies. Curious to know how it is different and how Lulu made that generalisation.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably cut smaller, possibly more petite friendly. Definitely shorter inseams and arm length. That's my guess though!
DeleteI found out the answer! Just means narrower waistbands, slightly longer down the hip, shorter inseam and a better fit on knee and calf.
DeleteThank you so much for that!
DeleteNo worries! I love your reviews :)
DeleteOT- have you ever done a review on the ‘brave the cold’ jacket? I’m wondering if it’s a size up or tts?
ReplyDeleteAlso, any pros or cons?
I did not review this jacket. I checked reviews though and it doesn't get good ones. People complain about the feathers leaking all over the place. But so far it looks like it runs true to size.

Ehh. Nothing for me either.

ReplyDeleteI would say the Brave the Cold Jacket fits on the smaller size. I’m 5’3” < 105 lbs and size 2 fits tight. It’s okay if you only wear a Swiftly underneath, but I suggest sizing up if you wanna wear a sweater.
ReplyDeleteThank you! That helped me decide. There’s only a 6 available- I would probably have to get an 8. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteGood luck in getting the right size, Sherry!
