For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms. For Ivivva I fit a size 12 or 14 depending on the style.
Ivivva Rhythmic Tight Heathered Herringbone Black Size 14 on sale for $44!
I went with the size 14 after reading it is the equivalent to Lululemon's size 4. The fit is a little looser than a Wunder Under size 4 because there is little to no compression. It doesn't feel hugged and does not give any lift. They're basically like the Aligns. The fabric is also thinner and not as thick as the adult version, which is why there's a $34 difference. The Ivivva price is $64 versus $98 for Lululemon. (They're currently on sale for $44!)
The waist also sits lower on me. It's about an inch underneath my belly button which I prefer. The hi-rise just feels too restrictive sometimes. There is some extra fabric around my knees. I did try on a size 12 to compare and wasn't comfortable in it. I felt like there was a big difference between the 12 and the 14. The 12 is more suitable if you are closer to a size 2 in Lululemon, but the fit was better in the lower legs for me.
In the end I did end up keeping these. I wear them out casually and here they are with my kids version of Dr. Martens boots! I love the black ones so much I had to get them in cherry red too. I've always wanted a pair of Dr. Martens boots but never thought to try the kids version. The women's size 5 is still too big on me and I need a US 3! 😳
Hi Nero!
I also purchased the Rhythmic Tights in coco pique since they're on sale for $39. You really can't beat the price.

The coco pique actually runs a little smaller than the herringbone version. The waist on the coco pique measures 12.5 inches across. On the herringbone it is 13 inches. The length on both is the same at 27 inches. It's an inch shorter than the Wunder Unders.
I purchased both pairs last month and pretty pleased with them so far. I like to wear them on the weekends for errands and at home for lounging around. Hopefully these will last. It is hard to say if the quality is as good as Lululemon. Time will tell.
I currently have my eye on the Nulu version. The dark chrome is on sale for $44, but the reviews say they run big, so maybe I would be a size 12 in those. It's a final sale, so I'm not 100% sure about pulling the trigger on them. That's all for me! Hope you have a great weekend!

I love those Doc Martens on you! Such a beautiful shade of rich red. I had a pair when I was younger and lived in them for years.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm sure I'll be wearing these for years to come as well! I should have tried the kids version sooner.

DeleteI love your boots too! Would you mind telling me what ladies’ size do you normally wear? I’m size 24 in Japanese sizing and 37.5 in European sizing. Just wonder if I can fit in a pair of kids’ Dr. Martens. I have a pair in ladies’ size in nubuck leather but you make me wanna try the amooth leather ones. :)
DeleteI'm normally a size 5 or 5.5 but Dr Martens run really big. I've never tried Japanese sizing but for European I'm usually a 35. And for kids I take a UK2/US3 in the Dr Martens. I would order a couple of sizes and return what doesn't fit. Or can you try them at the store? They're pretty popular these days.
DeleteThanks, Leslie! Would you mind telling me the model name of your Dr, Marten boots? I realized my regular online shoe store doesn’t carry Dr, Martens in kids’ sizing and I’ll have to google on where I can find them. Best with the model name for searching. Thanks!
DeleteThe style is 1460. I don't know if that will come up for kid's sizes though, seems like it is only adults that have model numbers? The name for the kids version is Delaney. Let me know if that helps!
DeleteIt does! Thank you as always, Leslie! :)
DeleteGlad to see the review on these pants. i bought the 14 and ultimately returned as a bit large but sounds like ordering a 12 doesn't make sense either.
ReplyDeleteAre you smaller than me at all? The 12 might fit you. I tend to have big hips for my small frame which is why the 12's didn't fit. Felt too tight.
DeleteThose look great on you! I'm a LLL 2 and bought one pair of ivivva full length tights in a size 12 and while it fit, the waist was too loose and the length was a little long still. I prefer a fitted waist and so I haven't bought anymore from ivivva though I felt their quality was just like LLL.
ReplyDeleteI would try other Ivivva bottoms, but definitely try on a few sizes. I think it's a little inconsistent.
DeleteAny comment as to the longer term quality on the Ivviva products?
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa! I can't speak for their tops, but from the joggers and tights that I have purchased and kept, the quality seems to be on par with the Lululemon women's. I haven't had any issues. That said I do not rotate them frequently, as my overall collection is pretty extensive.
