Fit Review! Transformation Wrap! Dark Adobe

I know right now everyone is talking about the Plush Scuba Hoodie and Light as Warmth Scuba, but I think the Transformation Wrap is a much more interesting and unique piece that Lululemon has available right now. Sure it's not as warm or as cozy, but I think this wrap is much more likely to make some heads turn.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically wear a size 4 in fitted Lululemon tops but for wraps like this I tend to size down.

This wrap is soooo soft and not itchy at all. This is made of Boolux fabric, which is a blend of cashmere, Tencel and rayon. Tencel fabric is what gives this wrap a silk like feel. It's definitely oversized and quite long if not cinched in the back. I can tell you that I would never wear this wrap uncinched. It is very unflattering that way. This wrap does have side pockets which is nice, but they are not very functional. At least it's not meant for your phone. You could put some tissues in there or something, but anything that has substantial weight will weigh it down.

Uncinched - Is this even a word?

So much better.

Let's talk about the length. It is long. But even though I'm only 4 feet 11, I think because it hits right above the knee, I can pull it off. The front is also shorter than the back, which helps too. I do not feel like the wrap is overwhelming on my petite frame. The sleeves are long as to be expected, but it looks like it's supposed to be bunched up. I think it works!

Yay for pockets!

I love the look of the back when cinched up and tied. There's something so unique and beautiful about the way it drapes. I also love the color dark adobe. It is a deep saturated berry plum. It is seriously my favorite color right now since it matches the color of my hair!

One more shot of the back again.

The other thing is this wrap is reversible. It is definitely different for the dark adobe color. The sleeves are two toned which gives it a more casual, dress down look. It would be great with jeans and tee.

Kind of rock and roll?

Overall I think this is a piece that can easily transition from the office to weekend. It can go with jeans or dress pants easily. The one downside is the delicate nature of the fabric. I already see one snag at the bottom hem. That does worry me a little bit considering how steep the price is. I'm tempted to keep it. Leaning towards yes as a Christmas treat for myself. What do you think of this wrap?

  1. The wrap looks super cozy and comfy. It seems like a piece that makes any outfit look put together! Love the cinched back too. I say if you love it you should keep it! Not helpful lol.

    1. Thanks! It is very cozy and comfy. I'm still thinking about it!

  2. I think it looks good on you when cinched. Uncinched is not the way to go, agree with you on that. I like the way you've dressed it up. There's a pic on the website of the model wearing it with sweatpants and that whole outfit looks sloppy to me. You've made it look classy.

    1. Aw thank you so much! Before I keep a purchase I try and see what kind of outfits I can wear it with. I def would not wear this with sweatpants!

  3. I love the material which feels luxurious and it’s thicker than I thought. The Silver Drop color is so pretty and goes with all my outfit. Body length is okay to me (I’m 5’3”) cos you can cinch the back, but the sleeves are way too long in my opinion. It’s not a deal breaker though, and what makes me think twice is how delicate the material is, and some people complained about pilling.

I must say the wrap looks really nice on you, and Dark Adobe is a lovely saturated color. I somehow feel that the wrap looks weird when cinched but then it looks great on you! Definitely keep it if you like it cos they are selling out.

    1. Will you be returning yours? I also am worried about the pilling. That would be a shame. It's such a beautiful wrap.

  4. Love the cinched look on you, but I am hesitant because my LuLu Boolux sweaters have not "aged" well. They pill very easily. I may get it if it makes to WMTM.

    1. Oooooh that's not a good sign. I might return it and wait for WMTM...

  5. I like the dark adobe be too. Color looks great on you. Bonus points that it matches your hair! I’m not a fan of the cinched look in the back. Looks like a wad of material just hanging. Like it was accidentally stuck to your pants. Sorry. I’m also not a fan of boolux. I have 2 lulu sweaters made out of boolux and they pilled and did not hold its shape.

    1. I still like the drape but knowing it pills fast made me return it last night. Thank you! I may still pick it up if I see it on WMTM, but now I know it's definitely not worth full price.

  6. Looks like Boolux pills easily. For the price of this wrap I’m expecting better quality! It’s a shame cos the material is silky soft and the drape is beautiful.

Am seriously thinking about returning it ...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
