Fit Review Friday! Athleta Review Part 1 Mindset Vest, Sculptek Skinny Jean

Happy Friday everyone! I have a pretty long Athleta review but I will be breaking them up in two parts. Today I'm going over the Mindset Vest and Sculptek Skinny Denim in quartz wash.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. In Athleta I'm usually a size PXS in tops and 2 Petite for bottoms.

This entire outfit is new except for the booties. The J.Crew Scoopneck Tencel Tee is super soft. I am wearing a size XXS and it's a loose fit. The scoop neck is a little low and it is very see through but for a casual summer outfit it works fine. The Mindset Vest is also very soft and runs large. The neckline is adjustable and you can style it differently if you wish. More on the vest in a little bit.

Outfit details:
J.Crew Scoopneck Tencel Tee - on sale! I'm wearing size XXS
Athleta Mindset Vest- $24.99 I'm wearing size PXS
Athleta Sculptek Skinny Jean- I'm wearing size 2P

The Sculptek Skinny Jean are seriously my new favorite pair of jeans. I've been looking for a new pair of gray denim and I've found the perfect one. Not only are they really flattering on my petite legs, they are comfortable and the length is just right with some booties or cuffed with sneakers for a more casual look.

When I took them out of the packaging they looked a little small, but there is a lot of stretch and will mold to your body. I find them true to size. These jeans fit like a glove. Did I also mention how soft they are? Buy these, you will not regret it!

The Mindset Vest is only $24.99 right now. For the price it's a steal. I really like the gray but the navy blue is also very pretty. I normally do not like vests, but I think this one works well as a layering piece during the summer.

I'm wearing size XXS and it runs large. The neckline is very interesting as you can shorten and tighten it up for different looks. There are two pockets in the front to stash your phone. The asymmetrical hem line draws the eyes down and has a lovely drape.

The back of the vest is plain compare to the front. The material is made of very soft fabric that does get wrinkled easily. I made the mistake of leaving it draped on top of my chair and it turned into a wrinkled mess overnight as you can see in this picture below.

Super wrinkly!

That said, I still love it anyway. For $24.99 why not? I think this piece has a lot of potential for versatile looks. If you're new to Athleta, you can receive 20% off your first full price item with my referral link. I would definitely use it for the Sculptek Skinny Jean!

That's it for me! I'll have part 2 coming up Monday for you all. Hope you have a great weekend!!!

  3. That whole outfit is rockin', and looks amazing together! Do you know if they changed the fit of the jeans recently (I thought I saw something about that). In the spring I tried a pair in size 0 but it was way too big. I'm about the same size as you, so I was curious when I saw that you have a size 2P.

    1. They did update the fit. This color in particular is smaller than the pair I bought last year (also size 2P). The pair I bought last year is loose fitting on me. I kept it anyway because of comfort, but it's not the most flattering. This new pair is way more fitted.

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
