Fit Review! Gather Up Jacket & Still Movement Wrap

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Saturday night was date night. We watched Infinity War. It was ah-mazing! Hope to watch it again in IMAX soon. I can't wait for the next installment. The ending was definitely jaw dropping.

Today I have a fit review on the Gather Up Jacket in dusty dawn. For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically wear a size 4 in tops. Sometimes a size 2.

also wearing Align Crop (old)

This jacket feels really soft. That's the first thing I noticed. It's a light to medium weight jacket with ruching detail in the front of the jacket. I asked my husband what he thought of it and he said it looks like it shrunk funny in the dryer. That made me laugh but I can kind of see his point of view. The back reminds me of the Define Jacket but this jacket is more boxy and cropped. Because of this I can size down to a 2 from my usual size 4 in fitted tops. The jacket hit at the hip for me and is very petite friendly.

The one thing I didn't really like are the pockets. The opening is towards the back and not in the front so it's kind of an awkward place. I find myself over shooting the opening and having to try again. The color is a lovely lilac. The sleeves are a bit long and there are no thumbholes.

Just a bit off topic here, if anyone was wondering, I actually do not wear any make up on these photo shoots. These photos are taken early on the weekends and I try not to wear make up on my off days from work unless I'm heading out on a date night.

Next up is the Still Movement Wrap in heathered quicksand. I'm a huge sucker for quicksand. It's such a pretty mauve pink with a hint of coral.

also wearing Align Crop (old) and Swiftly Racerback tank (old)

Has thumbholes!

This is a very casual loose fitting wrap that you can definitely size down in. It is made of a cotton blend. I didn't find it to be as soft as I hoped for. It feels a little bit on the stiff side.

The hood is definitely oversized

The back of the wrap isn't very flattering when your arms are down at the sides. When my hands were in the pockets, the two slits in the back would flare open which made it look much more flattering.

It's a very cute wrap but I kind of wished it had a zipper, but then it wouldn't be a wrap, it would be another hoodie. I did like the mesh like detail along the arms and back to keep you cool.

I ended up returning both. I think the full price is a little steep for these two items, but may change my mind if I see them pop up on WMTM.

That's all for me. Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
