Review! Scuba Hoodie III Heathered Bark Berry VS Scuba Hoodie IV Heathered Dusty Rose

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Just wanted to share some photos I took of my heathered bark berry Scuba III and the new Scuba IV in heathered dusty rose.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops, however in the Scuba Hoodies, I take a size 2. For all my Define Jackets I'm a size 4.

In the stock photos, the color of dusty rose looks to be more on the pink side, but in person it's more of a lilac with pink undertones. I actually really like how vibrant and pretty the dusty rose is.

Scuba IV Heathered Dusty Rose vs Scuba III Heathered Bark Berry

I find the Scuba Hoodie IV to be more fitted compared to the III. The Scuba IV is also thinner in weight, which is fine because I am not able to wear my Scuba III in warmer weather where as I can see myself still wearing the Scuba IV at night time during summer months or in air conditioned temperatures.

The lngth seems to be about the same in both versions. The Scuba IV may be just a tad shorter in length. One of the changes that I really like about the newer version is the hood. The hood is bigger and has a better drape than the Scuba III.

The dusty rose feels very soft and comfortable.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the dusty rose color and I'm leaning towards keeping it. I know some are disappointed that it is more lilac than pink, but I don't mind since I already have heathered bark berry. I still have the tags on it and will sleep on it for a few nights before cementing my decision. What do you think of the color?

Hope you all have a great Monday!

  1. I am so sad I outgrew my bark berry scuba. I’m glad you did a review on these because I was curious how close they were in color. I’m still a fan of the bark berry so looks like I’ll have to hunt one down on the bay.

    1. Maybe you can find someone who wants to do a trade? Last time I looked, which was a while ago, they were going for $300s.

  2. Thanks for the review! Would you say the color in your photos is pretty accurate? I agree with others, it is a little more purple than I hoped. I may still order it to try it out. By the way, I’m thinking of you and Sherlock. It sounds like you tried to give him the best life possible and he was lucky to have you!

    1. The color is pretty accurate, definitely a lilac shade. I don't mind it since I have a couple of pink hoodies.

Thank you. Yesterday marked two weeks since Sherlock has been gone and I'm still heart broken.

  3. Thanks for the review! It's a pretty color. It's pretty close to Bark Berry, though.. like it being in the pastel color family. Depends on if you really want both!

  4. I ended up picking this up after seeing your review and I love it! The color looks great with dark jeans and is a really dice shade of lilac pink. I was hesitant to try the scuba hoodie iv in the past since I have the older versions and thought I wouldn’t like them based on the website reviews. I actually like it a lot since it doesn’t seem as stiff and the changes to the front kind of remind me of the define jacket. Overall i would definitely get another one!

    1. Yay! I'm glad you love it. The newer Scubas are a lot softer than the older versions. I never owned a Scuba 2 because I found it to be stiff and restrictive. The 3 was a lot better and the 4 is decent too, not as baggy as the 3 and still soft. This is my second Scuba 4. I'm trying to be more picky about buying more Scubas because I just have so many hoodies. How many hoodies is too many? =)

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
