Rebecca Minkoff Velvet Julian Backpack Review

Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I'm thankful for being able to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family this week. I'm sad my husband isn't with me though. I miss him and the kitties so much. Thankful I got to see some of my friends back in NYC. Thankful I got to eat some more of my grandma's cooking. She's 95 years old and is still going.

Hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and ready to do some Black Friday shopping. Ebates cash back is pretty insane right now. If you haven't signed up, now would be a really good time to do so. Some stores are offering 14% cash back.

Today I have for you this super cute velvet backpack that's the perfect size if you're petite. It doesn't look huge and actually looks like a normal sized backpack on me.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

This Rebecca Minkoff bag is made out of crushed velvet. It's super soft to touch. What's nice about the crushed velvet is the textures and depth it gives to the color. The colors range from a light pink to a dusty dark rose. I think it's really pretty. The hardware is dark gunmetal gray.

It has two exterior pockets on the sides to stash small items like keys, gum, or whatever you might want to have quick access to. The main compartment opens up to reveal and moderate size storage space big enough for a water bottle, sunglasses, and wallet. There's also a small pocket there to fit an ID or some cash. The zippers all work smoothly.

If you're worried about pick pocketing, you can flip the dog clip up to attach to the zipper to make it more difficult to gain access to the main compartment.

On the back of the backpack there's a large pocket. Sometimes I'll stick some cash there or receipts if you're looking to stash things quickly on the go. The straps are completely adjustable. I have no issues with making the straps as short as I want to go, which is something I always have a problem with. Most straps stop you at some point and it isn't always enough short enough for a petite person like me.

The closure is a magnetic snap.

Overall I'm super happy with this purchase. I absolutely love it and give it 5 stars. It's great for on the go errands and looks good with casual outfits and even with my athletic outfits. Is pink not your colors? This backpack also comes in blue, burgundy and gray. The best part? They're all on sale! It's currently half off at Nordstrom in black cherry.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
