Obsessed with these suede booties by Sam Edelman - Petty

Happy Friday! I've got a slightly different review for you all today. I've been looking for a new pair of shoes for a while for work and haven't had any luck all summer. Since the weather is now cooler I switched my focus from sandals to booties and found an amazing pair by Sam Edelman.

I have a few requirements when it comes to footwear. They must be comfortable and by this I mean they have to be something I can wear all day with ease. I don't have a job where I have to stand a lot, but I do walk quite a bit around the office. Even though I'm short and can use any extra height I can get, the heel can not be any higher than 1.5 inches. I don't have high tolerance for foot pain. Actually scratch that.  Let's actually make it zero tolerance for foot pain because I'm a big baby. Lastly, it needs to be versatile enough that I can wear it with any of my work pants and yet casual enough for jeans and possibly leggings.

I have found the perfect pair! Drumroll please! Sam Edelman Petty booties. I love them so much I bought them in two colors in putty suede and slate gray.

Putty Suede

Putty suede is a very light gray with an almost beige tint to it. It goes with almost anything. The first day I wore them to work I received tons of compliments and comments on how cute they were.  I have super thin ankles and the ankle opening is a little wide but I think they still look passable with tights. Even if it does look a bit weird they're so comfortable I don't even care honestly!

Looks like a weird color here, but it's the lighting against dark floors

Fit wise, they are true to size. I wear a size 5 in shoes and a 5.5 in sneakers. The size 5 fits well with a bit of room so you can wear socks and they still feel comfortable. I wear medium width shoes and these did not pinch anywhere at all. No break in time required and they're so comfortable I bought my second pair in the slate gray after a week of wearing the putty suede. The suede is soft and nice quality.

Inside zip and the heel is 1.5 inches.

Zappos is the only website I could find that has them available in every single color and size.  I purchased the putty suede color from Zappos for full price but then I snagged the slate gray from DSW on sale for $79.99! I'm almost tempted to get a third pair in black leather. The saddle leather looks like a nice shade of cognac too.

That's all for today. Hope you have a great weekend! I have a lot of items I need to take photos of this weekend. I'm hoping my Lululemon arrives tomorrow in time for a Saturday or Sunday morning photo shoot. Thanks for reading!

  3. Love Same Edelman shoes, especially the petty booties. I have them in leopard (last season) and putty. They are adorable and comfortable at the same time. I am also tempted by the saddle leather. I would choose them over another pair of Lulu leggings. There, I just convinced myself, haha.

    1. hahahaha that's awesome. I tend to always go a little crazy shopping in the fall/winter. Which is probably why I should ban myself during the summer to save up for it!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
