Fit Review Friday! Athleta Stronger Hoodie in Petite XS vs XXS

Happy Friday everyone! Sooooooo happy the weekend is here. I have a short fit review today. It's a comparison between Athleta's Stronger Hoodie in PXS and XXS.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon Define Jackets and a size 2 in Scuba Hoodies. In Athleta this translates to a XXS or PXS.

Last year I ordered the Stronger Hoodie in size XXS. They didn't have petite at the time and now they do! So of course I wanted to compare the two. Unfortunately I did not keep the XXS Stronger Hoodie from last year. I ended up returning it because I wasn't sure about the forest green color. Here are the photos I grabbed from last year's review.

Stronger Hoodie Forest Green XXS

Let's start by comparing how the two look from the front. Almost identical, right. The XXS looks to be a little more fitted in the waist. The length of the PXS looks just a smidge shorter in the front. Everything else looks the same.

XXS                                                                  PXS

Now, the back is a completely different story. The XXS is very fitted in the back and totally loose in the PXS. There's also more room in the chest/armpit area. I vaguely remember I found the chest to be a little tight in the XXS when I zipped it up. There's definitely enough room to layer in the PXS. The PXS is also not as flattering looking. I look a bit frumpy from the back. The color is totally gorgeous though!

From the side, they both look about the same to me. If you want a more fitted look, go with your regular size instead of the petite version. But if you're all about comfort and want the option to layer, go with the petite sizing.

I ended up returning the Stronger Hoodie because I really don't need another hoodie. But if I did, I might have kept it! The color cassis is a beautiful shade of red and perfect for fall.

That's it for me, hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. Definitely love the cassis color more. Thanks for the review! The Stellar Blazer might look really cute and you might get a lot of work week use out of it (vs more hoodies). :)

    1. This is true.... I'll think about it, the blazer is pretty pricey. Maybe if it goes on sale!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
