Fit Review Friday! Athleta Sculptek Skinny Jean + What's New

Happy Friday everyone! I can't believe it's already September. I'm looking forward to the long weekend. For those not in the US the first weekend in September is Labor Day weekend. September for me marks the beginning of fall and this means I'll be breaking out my cute fall clothes. Today I have for you Athleta's Sculptek Skinny Jean in dark wash.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and wear a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms. In Athleta this translates to PXS or 2 petite.

I haven't bought a new pair of jeans in probably over a year. Honestly, I do not wear jeans because I just don't find them as comfortable as a pair of leggings. Seriously, nothing can beat the comfort of a pair of Align bottoms. When I saw Athleta's new Sculptek Jeans I decided to bite the bullet and try a pair. I ordered size 2P. The length on these is 27.5 inches. Since I'm only 4 feet 11, my inseam is 26 inches. I do have to cuff these or deal with a scrunched up bottom even though these are supposed to be ankle length.

The waist sits right underneath my belly button. The material is stretchy and does not feel constricting like some other pairs of jeans I have. I really like the dark wash. As of right now it looks like the petite sizing is sold out on Athleta's website in dark wash, but they do have another pair that was just released in grey wash. All sizes are currently available. The website states they are online only with limited quantities.

Reflective detail on inside of the cuff.

There are three pockets in the front and two back pockets. The denim is midweight and super stretchy. If I'm going to wear a pair of jeans, these are pretty darn comfy. Athleta scores again! Definitely a keeper! I can't wait to break these out once it gets a little chillier in Atlanta.

In other news, there are lots of new items on Athleta's website. Here are my picks!

(Okay so this isn't exactly new, I have this from last year and LOVE IT so much. Now it is being offered in petite sizes and I'm tempted to buy it in PXS just to see if I can possibly love it even more. Yes I know I'm a little crazy. If you want to check out my review of it here, please do!)

(I absolutely love this color and will be ordering this to try.)

(I think I might need these too.)

(If I had $350 laying around I would give these a shot)

(Definitely want to order this, I could wear this to work!)

(I'm really tempted to order this to try!)

(Good alternative to the $350 leather version)

(This is being offered in petite so I may  give this a try, I'm a sucker for pink)

My shopping ban ends in an hour and I'll be placing a few orders from Athleta and Lululemon. I apologize I have not had that many reviews up this month, but we'll be back to regular programming soon! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

    1. I wish I could wear jeggings to work, but I have to look a bit dressier since I'm the receptionist. Bah. It's not bad though, today I wore leggings since it was a half day!

  3. Hello! I ran across your blog because I was searching for pictures of Athleta's Luxe Stronger Hoodie in Oatmeal Heather (which I did end up buying today, thanks to your pictures and review.)
On a completely different note, can I ask what color walls you have? (brand and color, if you don't mind.) Love them!

    1. Hi there!

That's a great purchase! I love that hoodie so much and hope you do too! As for the color of the walls, it was there when we purchased the condo. However, I don't recommend this brand- it is Sherwood Williams - Agreeable Gray. The paint is flat and is hard to clean if it gets dirty. But maybe you can find something similar in a better brand in eggshell finish.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
