Major Fit Review Friday! Invigorate 7/8 Tight, Low Key Tank, Sculpt Tank, Swiftly Tech T-Back, Hotty Hot Short II, Arise Bra Nulu, Define Jacket

It's so nice to be able to walk to Lululemon from my office. It takes me 9 minutes even with a long red light. I ended up returning the Align Crop in black grape because they look almost identical to a pair I already have in denim ink. I'm waiting for it to come out in black currant. That color already sold out in the pant version. The store did not have black currant in the Scuba Hoodie, I would have liked to see that in person too.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically wear a size 4 in tops and bottoms.

I was pretty excited to try these on. First off, they are high waisted and even though I'm not a fan of high waist, these were fairly comfortable. I'm wearing my usual size 4 and these fit true to size. The fabric is very soft and stretchy.

The best thing about these are the length. 7/8 tights are perfect for petite ladies who have a short inseam. My inseam measures 26 inches and these measure 25 inches long which means they fit like regular pants on me. As you can see they're still a little loose around my ankles, but I generally have a smaller calf than most.

These are a little loose around my knees. A size 2 may fix that problem but it would probably be too tight for me in the waist. Overall I did like these, but left them behind.

Next up I tried on the Swiftly Tech T-Back in my usual size 4.

The fabric felt extra silky to me. I found it to be very soft to touch. The tank is a little too long on me, so it scrunches up around my waist.

This tank has a high neckline and the T-back strap is fairly long and if I pulled the tank down, it showed the band of the bra just a bit too much for my liking. I think this T-back will look great on taller folks, but if you're petite like me, the T-back may be too long.

I'm also wearing the Arise Bra in Nulu here, it goes perfectly with the Swiftly T-back

Next, the store finally had a Sculpt Tank in a size 2 for me to try on. They only had it in black though (I want it in marvel). The tank is definitely shorter in the size 2. However, I think it is a little too fitted around my hips, and it scrunches up a little bit. I ended up taking home the size 4 in marvel, but then I got home and ordered a size 2 so I can compare the two sizes at home. I'll definitely end up keeping one. I just have to see which size I prefer. 😜

Here's the marvel in size 4. It's a looser fit and just a tad too long. Bah! Why do I have to have hips?! Haha.

I really wanted to try on the Low Key Tank but the store only had size 4. They really do not get many size 2s in anything. This tank definitely runs big. The size 4 looked like a sack on me, but I really liked how the back looks. So I went home and ordered this in dark forest and black in size 2.

I really love how soft this tank is. It is made of 100% Pima cotton. The back of the tank drapes beautifully. Definitely great for the summer.

The side profile poofs out a little at the back. It will be interesting to see how the size 2 fits. I have high hopes for it!

I definitely love the marvel color and wanted to see how it looked in the Define Jacket. I'm wearing my usual size 4. However it looks a bit too tight on me, especially in the profile and back pictures.

Definitely too tight here. Or I'm getting fatter.

I'm definitely getting fatter. LOL.

Last, I was super excited to finally be able to try on a size 2 in the Hotty Hot Short II! The new version removed the drawstring on the outside and instead has the continuous drawcord on the inside of the waistband. This is so much better because the outer drawstring always adds lumps and bumps around the waistline, and who wants that?

I'm normally a size 4 in Speed Shorts, but I'm definitely a size 2 in the Hotty Hot Shorts. The waistband is super comfortable and I think sizing down solves the diaper butt problem.

I'm not a fan of pop orange, so I left it behind. However I'm super excited to have found another pair of shorts that I really like. I will definitely buy these when they come out in more colors.

No more diaper butt?

Oh, I forgot to mention the Arise Bra in Nulu. I ended up buying it in midnight navy color. It is sooooo comfortable. I purchased the same size as I normally wear in the FTB bra and FTBW bra. It's light support for A/B cups. Ever since Lululemon discontinued the FTBW bra, I'm having a hard time finding something new to replace it. My only concern with the Arise Bra is if it will stretch over time. I hope they hold up.

One last mention, the NTS Jacket is on WMTM for $79. I'm still tempted to get it in midnight navy but I have to be good. I've spent quite a bit this month so far!

That's all for me today! Happy Friday and I hope you all have a great weekend!

  1. Really like the invigorate tights :) I got a pair of blueberry jam pace rivals today, which are going back. They don't fit too badly (unlike the dottie tribe ones which fit almost a full size too large) but blueberry jam is almost the same as hero blue...and I already have a pair of hero blue inspire tights. Thank goodness for the new 30 day return policy as the nearest store is about 1.5 hours away for me! Maybe I'll get the invigorate tights instead :)

    1. I love the new 30 day return policy! It gives you a little more time to mull things over. 1.5 hours away is faaaaar. I would just buy and return through mail since it is free.

I really should incorporate more blues into my wardrobe. I just naturally gravitate to reds and purples.

    2. Unfortunately returns aren't free for us in Switzerland 😉 it's okay as I combine it with a visit with my friend 😀 I love blues as they go with pretty much everything.

  2. Aww on returning the black grape align crops, but totally understand. I can see what you mean about the long t-back, but still looks good on you! :D I love the Sculpt Tank 2 too! I tried on size 2 and 4 and both were nice - 2 was nicely fitted, but the whole reason I wanted it was for "fluffier" days, but then 4 felt a little loose. Will need to try on again. The 2 looks great on you! Hope the size 2 Low Key Tank works out for you! Hotty Hot Shorts are nice too on you! Definitely need to try the Arise bra soon. Thank you for the awesome reviews and pictures!

    1. The Swiftly T-Back is not bad actually. I think you will probably like it!

I think I feel exactly the same way as you do about the Sculpt Tank. You're so lucky you live near Avalon. That store definitely gets better stock than the Perimeter Mall store. If you get the Arise bra let me know what you think.

I am super excited about the Hotty Hot Shorts though. I hope it comes out in lots of colors for summer!

  4. Im exciting about new hotty hotty too!! I'm waiting for some nice colors. I wish it comes in dark chrome or some muted colors. I don't like t back swiftly but i ordered trapeze racerback today. It is only $38 and have high hopes in it.

    1. The fact that Lululemon still has a tank for $38 is kind of amazing! Let me know how you like it!

    2. I received trapeze racerback sz 4 and low key sz 2. Im returning pow key and ordering another trapeze!! I hope they have size 0 on low key tank. It still looks like a potatoe sack on me. But im so happy that trapeze racerback is so flattering on me and it's only $38!!

    3. Oh nice! The trapeze tank looks great but I'm just not a big fan of such high neck tops. I always feel like it is choking me. But $38 is such a great price for it!

  5. Have you tried the Mind Over Miles Shorts? I fell in love when I tried them on. The waist band is generous so I need a size 2 (26" and 34"). Typically I wear size 2 leggings and size 4 speed shorts. The store only had black in size 2. Just ordered the white online.

    1. I have not tried on the Mind Over Miles Shorts. I don't know if I would like the mesh detail. Next time I'll at the store I'll give them a try though. Good to know it's a size down item.

  6. I bought the dark forest and black Low Key Tank. I didn't size down because I didn't notice that much of a difference but it seemed that the drape looked fuller at the back. Did you notice that the tags say $58 but they dropped the price to $44?

    1. When I was at the store the Low Key Tank was priced at $54. When I ordered online that same night it was down to $44, so yep I was happy to see the price change! I'll post pics of the tank when I get it. I hope the size down fits me better.

We tried HelloFresh for the past two months - Here's our review

Hi everyone! This post is written by my husband. Some of you may know he does all the cooking around here. 😅 We noticed we were spending a lot of money on food and eating out every month and wanted to see if a meal kit service would save us money and time. After looking at a few meal kit services we settled on HelloFresh. Without further ado, here's Jared's review. (Original post date Aug 2022). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As you may have seen from Leslie's Instagram stories for the past 2 months, we've been using HelloFresh for most of our meals. The main drivers for this were to better track what we eat and because on the advice of my doctor, I should be eating more home cooked meals. Before I go any further, it should be noted that my original career path was in culinary arts, but twists and turns in life changed that. So I do have formal cooking experience. A little background story. Over the years, I've developed

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in.
