Happy New Year 2017! Great discounts via Saks & Nike

Hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year celebrations!  I'm still checking out the after Christmas sales and now New Years sales and will be posting about some major deals today.

I have a thing with sunglasses.  Even though I don't wear them all that often because it means I have to put my contacts in, I love the idea of playing around with how you can change your whole look with an accessory.  So when I saw these Miu Miu cat eye sunglasses over a year ago I fell in love with them but never pulled the trigger because of the price.  Last night while surfing in bed (yes we celebrated at home this year which is kind of lame, I hope that's not a sign of us getting old) I came across the sunglasses on super sale via Saks.  They originally coast $325.  Now they're on sale for $130!

Initially I wanted to get the green pair, but I ended up going with the pink because it would be a good neutral pair of sunglasses for any occasion.  Note that these are final sale, so I wouldn't recommend buying them unless you know for sure the cat eye style works for your face.  I have a couple of pairs in this style and I think they work nicely with my square-ish jaw line.

This is a pair of from Quay Australia which you can now buy from ASOS for $21!

The cash back on Ebates is also very good today.  Saks is at 8% cash back which is fairly nice.  And if you're new to Saks you can receive $25 off your first order over $50 with my referral link.  I was also considering these but I think at 54mm these would be a little too big for my face.

Also Nike is having a 25% extra off their clearance sale today.  Use Code LEGEND25.  Ebates cash back is 11%.  I purchased Nike Free TR6 and they're really amazing if you're doing weights and plyometric exercises.  Even though I haven't tried these for running, I do not think I would run in these because the back heel is very substantial.  These are for mainly training.

Nike Free TR6 $79.97

Fit wise, I normally wear a 5.5 in sneakers, but for these I fit a size 5 and they fit well.  They're snug but not too snug. The fly-wire cables are great and molds to your feet.  These also come in a bunch of different colors.  The maroon is probably my second favorite and then the blue.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
