Fit Review! Speed Tight V in Variegated Knit

Hello Monday!  Here is a Special Review Monday (couldn't think of a snappy name that starts with a M) since I didn't have a proper Fit Review for you guys on Friday.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically wear a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms.

Speed Tight V in Size 4

Last time I tried the Speed Tight V, I accidentally picked up a size 6 which was a bit too loose.  I ordered these in variegated knit to give a proper review.  Fit is true to size.  If you're in between sizes I would size up.  I found these to be slightly compressive but nothing major.

Length is also an issue for me and these are too long of course.  You can see in the photo if I had them hemmed (3-4 inches) I would lose the reflective detail.

(photo to show how much I would need to cut off if I got these hemmed)

Waist is mid-rise which I prefer.  The variegated knit is slightly scratchy when I initially put them on. However, by the time I was finished with the photo shoot, I didn't notice the scratchiness anymore.  The fabric also feels slightly on the stiff side.  I expected these to be more soft like herringbone, but I guess if you're a hardcore runner, they would not hold up if the fabric is too soft.

The pocket on the side is a nice feature.

If you don't to hem these, the slouchiness in this photo isn't bad actually.  My inseam is 26-27 inches.

Overall, I definitely love the look of the new Speed Tights.  I did not find these to be sheer in the bend test.  Because I'm not a hardcore runner and don't run outdoors anymore I am returning these.  I'm glad I tried them and hopefully this post will help some other petite runners out there who are looking for a review.

    1. I know you're a big fan of the Speed Tights. I went to the store today quickly to see if they had anything new but nope. I did pick up a new FTB Zen bra tho! Pretty excited about that.

    1. Sure, any outside activity would do. Don't see why you couldn't wear these for hiking also! =)

  3. I returned my speed for the same reason : little too long on me too. I love the design tho! And this print is really cute on you too! Thanks for review!!

  4. They look great on you. I like the color contrast of the seaming on the variegated knit. Since you don't run outside, you reallly don't need the reflective detail anyway. Keep the pants and hem them- they really complement you!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
