Fit Review! Yogi Racerback IV

Happy Monday!  I can't believe it is Thanksgiving week and already the Black Friday sales have started.  I just got an email from Net-A-Porter and I'm eyeing this Phillip Lim bag that's 40% off.

Anyhow, I dug up some old photos I took when I tried on the Yogi Racerback III to compare to the new version.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size 4 in tops.  Sometimes I can fit a size 2, but rarely.

So here I'm trying on the old version in size 2 and you can clearly see while the front looks fine, the back of the tank near my hips was way too tight in the size 2.  You can see it in the mirror reflection in the below pic.  I never did try on the size 4, because I don't think this style would have worked on my petite frame.  You can see it in my face, I was not impressed.

Now we have a new updated version of the tank.  I ordered the size 4 this time to try.  While I did like the fit more than the old version, I still think the tank does not flatter a petite frame.

The front looks fine.  It's a good length.  The hem is straight across instead of the curved hem in version III.  I actually prefer the straight hem more.  The neckline is still a little too low for my tastes, but if I'm wearing it to workout, I'm okay with showing the bra.  I wouldn't wear this out casually though.

The view from the side looks okay, but it does flare out underneath my butt for some strange reason.  It's not too bad, but it is noticeable.  If you're looking for a longer tank to wear with leggings that also covers your bum, this would definitely fit the bill.  But for me, I am returning it since I wouldn't be able to wear this out casually and I already have enough workout tanks.  If the neckline was higher and if the hem was slightly shorter, I would have kept this.

They also removed the pocket from the tank which I prefer.  I don't like pockets anywhere on my chest.  I can't see there being a purpose for a pocket on a tank other than for decoration.  And I don't think it added anything, so I'm glad it's gone.

What do you think of the new version?  Would love to know!

  2. I got it in black but somewhat it didn't look flattering than when i tried it on at the store. So it's going back.
I also got the ftbz bra in 6 and 8 and size 6 is going back due to showing my back look fat. Size 8 feels little big but it's okay to wear casually and i love its back. Lol. The only jewel i felt in love is free to be tranquil bra!! Its tts and has amaging fit, support and also pretty!! If you haven't, five it a try!!

    1. I tried the ftbz bra and didn't like it because of the back fat too! But I haven't tried the tranquil bra yet. I will next time I go...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
