Not much new products this week. I'm safe this week. Buuuuut, I went to the mall today and ended up liking a certain hoodie so much I ended up ordering it online. I'll have pictures of my shopping trip up tomorrow.
(I already have this from last year, wouldn't mind another in a lighter color though)
Speed Short in Down Pour Lime Light (Canada)
(not sure how I feel about this, I don't hate it but not sure I like it either)
(a little plain)
Free Runner Crop in Darkest Magenta (Canada)
Nothing for me this time. I like the ombre wu but if it comes in wuc, i will consider and you know why. Lol
ReplyDeleteShibori print is very cute but i know that will look too busy on me, so easy pass. Baaaahh...
Shibori reminds me of the tie dye Flow Crops I bought last summer. I like it but not my favorite. Plus I'm really not a fan of hi-rise pants. The Ombre looks a little plain to me. Should have more of a color gradient. So yep, pass for me!
DeleteThe shibori pant is a copy of the Nux pant :(

Interesting. Definitely super similar, almost near identical. But at the same time Shibori is Japanese hand dyeing technique so I wouldn't say Nux has a copyright on the print/pattern. Just unfortunate both companies chose the same colors to use.
DeleteThey look almost same but different. I see there's slight print gap near side seam line from nux pants. So i assume they had screen printed on the pants after sewing. Prints on shibori doesn't have any gaps on the seam. They look very nice and luxury when I saw in person. I wanted to try on but i need to wait till November. (I'm wearing a cast on my ankle so I cant try any of leggings for now...)
DeleteGood eye. And the white seam doesn't really look as nice. Lulu definitely did a good job with the Shibori.

ReplyDeleteahhh!! just noticed that the colors are the same too. very strange that LLL interpreted the shibori technique exactly the way carbon did.
it is definitely eye raising. I won't be buying. Patterns/prints like these are nice at first, but I always grow bored of them quickly.
