Happy Friday everyone! I'm going to be pretty much out all day Friday so I'm posting this a little early. I was super excited to receive my Onyx leggings from their new Polygon collection. These can be worn to the gym and transition easily to casual wear after the gym. I love when my workout clothes can be used for double duty!
For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and usually a size 4 in Lululemon bottoms. In Werkshop I fit a size small for a more casual fit.
On the left side of the leg there is a nice Werkshop eagle logo near the hip and thigh, which I think is really cool. I've always been playing around with some casual looks to pair the leggings with.

Onyx Full Length Size Small
As with all my other Werkshop leggings, the fit is exactly the same as my other pairs in size small. I like that Werkshop is very consistent about their sizing. This pair in Onyx definitely lengthens my legs. My inseam is only 26 to 27 inches so I'll take all the help I can get.
These sit right below my belly button. Very fitted throughout. For me the size small, offers low to mid compression. I do not like my leggings to be too tight. These are 100% opaque. I've never had an issue with any of my Werkshop leggings to be sheer.
The length as always is super long on me, but I don't mind it scrunched up and I've also been playing around with folding the hem up about an inch or so and then folding it underneath. It's kind of hard to explain but it works like a charm. I've found it's a good way to avoid hemming leggings.
Here I'm wearing my gray leather jacket with a heathered green CRB and boots. It's a very New York look for me. I don't see a lot of people around Atlanta dressing like this. Also it's still too hot to wear leather. =D But once it cools down a bit, I'm totally wearing this outfit OUT!

ReplyDeleteYou got so many new leggings very recently!!! Just for my taste, alo moto > onyx > florence. If I'm in your shoes, I'll return florence. I love them on you, but you look better with chic style than girly style. Also i feel they will hit wmtm sometimes soon or later.

I ended up returning the alo, because of the seam going across the knee. It bothered me overtime I walked. I may return the Florence and when they hit WMTM I'll buy one then. I hope they do go on sale with my size still available! Yay, that makes me really happy and keeps me motivated to keep posting. I always have so many problems finding clothes that fit, so I know how hard it is. I don't think I'm a size 2 yet, I'm happy being a size 4. =)

DeleteI love reading your blog- keep up the great work! Is the leather jacket from AllSaints? If so, can I ask what size? I just ordered a jacket in a size 2, as the 0 felt a touch tight across the shoulders. But now I'm worried that it will stretch out and be too big. (I'm usually a 2 in lululemon, and a 0 in AllSaints).

DeleteBut I fit a Define Jacket size 4, and my All Saints is size US 2. It also depends on how you wear the jacket. I never zip mine up, I leave it open, and I only wear a t-shirt underneath, so it's fine. It's not tight at all. If I wear to wear a sweater or something thicker than a t-shirt it would probably be a tight fit. If the US 2 is loose on you I would exchange it for a 0.
