Breakfast! Overnight Oats in a Jar

As some of you may know, I don't really cook.  Overnight Oats in a jar is perfect for someone like me.  There's no cooking involved!  The whole process takes maybe ten minutes at most and you do this the night before so there's no rush in the morning to "make breakfast".

My favorite thing about Overnight Oats is how much it tastes like dessert.  I have a sweet tooth so this satisfies my morning sweet tooth craving.

The ingredients are simple and I purchased most of these items at Target or Whole Food.  Please note that you do not have to follow my recipe, you can adjust it to your own liking.  Bananas and strawberries not your favorite?  Maybe blueberries are more your thing?  Go for it.  Change it up to what you prefer.  This is just how I like to make mine.

Ingredient List- 1/4 cup of Quick Oats, 4 ounces of Almond Milk, one scoop of Whey Protein, 1 teaspoon of Sliced Almonds & Dried Cranberries, Pinch of Cinnamon, few drops of Vanilla Extract, Half A Banana, Four Strawberries, Teaspoon of Organic Brown Sugar.

First thing I do is to cut up the strawberries and banana into bite size.  You'll also need a jar.  I picked mine from Target.  They sell them in a set of four and they're also dishwasher safe.

Measure out 1/4 cup of Quick Oats.  One scoop of the whey protein.  (The one I have comes with a plastic scoop.  One serving of the whey protein gives you 16 grams.)  I don't always use a full scoop, sometimes I'll do half or 3/4 of a scoop.

Measure out 4 oz of unsweetened almond milk.

I like to add a teaspoon of brown sugar because cinnamon and sugar goes so well together.  The cinnamon gets added at the end.  Now you don't have to follow these instructions.  Not a fan of brown sugar?  You can use your own sweetener or don't use a sweetener if you don't want to!

Dump all the ingredients into the jar and mix until the sugar has dissolved.

After you're done mixing, add the fruit.

Add in your choice of nuts.  I usually just add enough to sprinkle the top with a layer of almonds and cranberries.  And a pinch or two of cinnamon if you like.  Here is where I'll sometimes add a few drop of vanilla extract for a little bit more flavor.

When everything is in, give the screw the lid on and give it a good shake so everything is mixed in.  You're almost there.  Put the jar into your refrigerator overnight.

And voila!  Breakfast!  I promise it tastes super yummy!

  1. This is my daughter's favorite breakfast (without protein powder). I put honey instead of brown sugar.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
