Fit Review Friday! Alo Yoga Leggings! Goddess Ribbed Legging & Airbrush Legging

Yay for Friday!  It's also a long holiday weekend for us in the states.  Happy Labor Day weekend everybody!  Today I have for you Alo Yoga leggings.  I was curious about these after seeing them on Carbon38, but I found them for much cheaper on Amazon.  I'll have links for you at the end of this post.

When I saw the Goddess Ribbed Legging I really wanted a pair, especially in the white python.  The practical side of me said to myself, "You won't be able to pull off white!  You're too short and it will just make your short legs thick!  Plus they're white, you won't be able to keep those clean."  So, I went with a black pair instead with some pretty butterflies on them.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and size 4 usually in Lululemon's tops and bottoms.  For these Goddess Ribbed leggings I ordered a size XS.  These also come in XXS, but I'm not that small!

As you can see in the first photo, I'm too short for these!  The ribbed legging starts right above my knees.  Which isn't how it looks on the model at all.  They're supposed to land a good few inches above the knee.  My inseam is only 26-27 inches =( and sadly these just cut my legs off at a weird place so for that reason I'm returning them.

The length is super long, but I expected that.  The ribbing fabric felt a little bit itchy against my legs.  They weren't as soft as I thought they would be based on some reviews I read online.

The waist on these fit perfectly, but they did feel a little tighter than the other Alo Yoga pair I ordered which are coming up next in this review.  The rise is medium, they hit a little below my belly button.  I did notice that from the side, the leggings look better, but from the front they just looked unflattering on me.

These are not fully opaque when in squat position.  The fabric is soft and smooth and reminds me a little bit of luon material but silkier.  It also has a slight sheen to it.  It's actually quite nice.  It's the ribbed legging part that did not work for me.

The second pair I ordered are called Airbrush Leggings.  These do not have the ribbed fabric and it's completely smooth with the butterflies printed all the way from the ankles to somewhere above the knee depending on how long your legs are.

These leggings are made of 76% polyester and 24% spandex.  I do love how these feel.  They are very soft and silky.  These are gusset lined and have flat seams.  The waist band is nice and wide making these pretty comfortable to wear.  These are also medium rise, hitting right below my belly button.

The length on these are absolutely perfect on me!  The inseam on these measure 26.5 inches.

These are the same as the Goddess Ribbed Legging as they are not fully opaque.  I suggest wearing these with dark panties if you're going out in these.  I like these enough that I'm keeping them.  I think these would make a great addition to my cute fall clothes.

Retail price for these range from $88-$110.  I found mine for a significantly reduced prices on Amazon for $68 in size XS.  Carbon38 has a similar pair with multi color butterflies which is also super pretty but sadly they only have a size medium left.

Overall, I love the Airbrush Legging and would totally buy another pair!  I would also love to know if any of you guys out there also have Alo Yoga leggings in your closet.

    1. I've never been to an Alo Yoga store. I don't think there is one near me. I would love to try on some of their jackets. They look really chic.

  5. The fit on these is perfect, the material is soft and comfortable no matter what the activity and they do not fade, sag or give up on you. For easy thirteen dollars, give these workout clothes a shot, see what they can do and how well they fit.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
