Fit Review! Cool Racerback Lace, Dance Studio Crop, Essential Tank, Speed Short, Swiftly Racerback, Wunder Under Pant!

I know, Fit Review Wednesday?  I know it isn't Friday yet, but since I didn't have any reviews last week I thought this would make up for it.  Let me know if you guys prefer fitting room reviews or this type of review.  The major difference is better quality photos but it takes me a longer time to post them.  Fitting room reviews are so much faster and I can get it out same day or next.  But with this I can also take requests, just that shipping will delay things.  I can also mix things up too!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size 4 in tops and bottoms.

First up we have the heathered power purple Swiftly Racerback.  While the color is nice, I wasn't completely wowed by it.  I preferred last years iris flower over this one.  So this is going back.

I decided with the $10 increase any Swiftlys I buy have to be better than something I already have or it has to be something I don't have anything similar to.

Next up Speed Shorts in mini hounds camo emperor blue.  I found the fit of these to be similar to my other Speeds.  There's been talk that the sizes are changing and things will feel more snug, but so far I haven't found this to be true yet.  At least for me.  It would be nice to know exactly when the sizes will be changing.

I know I tried these on at the store a couple of weeks ago, but I decided I wanted to try them again at home in better lighting to see if that made any difference for me.  I decided while they are dark and kind of close to black, I think the little pops of purple do make it interesting enough for me to keep.

Plus I do like the fit of Speeds.  This brings my Speed Shorts up to 5.  Which isn't a lot in my opinion.

I decided I really wanted to try the Cool Racerback Lace version.  Rosewood was the color I really wanted but my size sold out pretty quickly.  I'm still bummed!  Here's boring old black but I actually really like the fit.  It's not as tight and form fitting as the regular Cool Racerback tanks, and the fabric is sleeker and smoother to the touch.  The fabric also thinner too.

As for the neckline, it is a little low and shows off my Free To Be Wild Bra, but since I'm only using this tank for working out, it's okay.  I would not wear this out casually though.  As of right now they still have all sizes in black and bali breeze and only $34.  It is a final sale and I would say it runs TTS and purchase this in your normal size.  Even though the fit is slightly looser it isn't enough to size down.

Next up the Essential Tank!  This is a very loose fitting top.  I ordered this in a size 4, but I think you could safely order a size down from your normal size.  I am returning this, but I am thinking of re-ordering but in a different color.  Heathered true red is a bit too bright and loud for my tastes.  Maybe the emperor blue or the tiger space dye would work better on me.

This is a very thin tank.  For the price at $58, I'm not completely convinced it's worth it but if it came out in a color I just had to have I would pay the price.  Otherwise if the color is only okay I would wait for WMTM.  Even then it would probably still cost $49!  Hah!

The back is a little long on me which is why I'm hoping the size 2 would look slightly higher and not so much coverage.  The front looks perfect and I also like how the side looks, it's not too baggy and does not flair out too much.

When I saw the modeling pics for the Wunder Under pant in splatter prep red sapphire blue, I immediately ordered it.  But I knew that it being Full On Luon there was a chance I wouldn't like how the fabric felt.  And I was right.

For $98, I want it to feel soft and not kind of scratchy.  I guess I'm just not a big fan of Luon.  The fit was fine, I ordered my regular size 4 and it's perfect.  Length is long on me but I could always get them hemmed.  These are going back.

It looks great on, very flattering to the bum and legs but I just wasn't feeling it.

Lastly I tried on the Dancer Studio II Unlined Crop but it was so ill fitting I am only posting one photo.  I will say I love the fabric.  It's very thin and great for summer.  I love that it's a crop but the elastic around the hem did not fit my calves at all.  I even tried pulling it up and it just fell right back down.  I'm not sure how these were supposed to fit because it didn't even come close to what it's supposed to look like on the website.

From the website.

 In reality-

And no, I don't think sizing down would have worked any better.  I'm very disappointed in them.  So off they go back!  That's all for today!

  2. Thanks for the reviews 😉 I was considering that swiftly but I already have the heathered iris AND bruised berry (which are almost identical btw) so you've convinced me I don't need it 😉 cheers, I can use the money for something else I don't need 😁

  3. Thanks for the review. I like all your review. That helps me a lot since we are almost same petite size ;) lol to dance studio crop ii. I will never try them and you saved my time. Thanks!!
And i still havent desices either to keep or resell my crb lace in black. I usually wear black only casually not when work out but $34 is good enough to just keep. Or should i just hem it by myself?? Lol i really dont like it when it shows my bra over the neckline.

    1. I'm not good at sewing or hemming. But if you can do it why not give it a try? Unless you think eBay would be better off. Up to you!

  4. I'm glad the lace crb worked for you! I generally like looser fitting tanks but the lace crb in my tts 4 fit very oddly on me... The material under my armpits kinda gaped out- maybe I need bigger boobs? Haha! So disappointing! Hoping I can resell mine or trade for a size 2!

    1. Someone might be willing to trade in the Facebook Group. If not, maybe try selling on eBay and see if there's a size 2 available as well.

  5. I don't believe I own anything in seriously light luon, but I definitely want something in that fabric. Good to know about the sweat though.
I tried Athleta's chaturangas a long time ago. I may need to revisit those again. I've been eyeing a new yoga mat from Athleta, but unsure if it's worth the money.

  6. Thanks for the reviews! It takes a lot of work to do those and it helps us out in our decision maling, especially since now I am also very selective in what I buy. I returned the Olympic red/black SS Swiftly. It was ok but I wasn't wowed by it so it went back. Definitely, the new price change(s) had some bearing. I liked all the clothes on you, except for the Dance Studios. I have 4 of the old Dance Studio Crops and boy are they way more flattering!

    1. Oh wow, surprised the Olympic Swiftly went back. Thought that would have been a keeper. But yep if you are not wowed by it, it isn't worth keeping. I wonder what the differences are between the old and new Dance Studios. This was the first time I ever tried that style. I'm debating if I want to put in another order. It's somewhat large. =T

  7. Hey Petite Impact! The Deep Indigo was finally at my store and I really like the fabric (soft luon). The fabric feels nicer than my Sapphire Blue Define. The fit also feels a little looser, but not too loose. The Deep Indigo colour is gorgeous and flattering. Once I tried it on, I said "sold" to the Ed. The price is steep at $128 though!

    1. Oh good to know about Deep Indigo Define. Ouch at the price. You must really love it though!

  8. Oh ya.....previous Dance Studio Crops are slimmer, have the classic Dance Studio style ruching and a stretch drawcord in the hem that allows for pant adjustability. The latest Dance Studio Crops do not have the ruching details that I like and while they do have the drawcord in the hem, the bottom of the crop is tight fitting to the leg. I just find the previous version more flattering.

    1. Hmmm... I think the old version would have looked better on me if it was slimmer. Oh well. Saves me money!

  9. I know this is an old post but I have a question about the splatter wunder unders: What colour are they backed with? We have them on WMTM now 😊

    1. I'm not 100% sure if I remember correctly but I want to say the inside was the same as the outside. I would double check though, I think you can do a Live Chat on their website and they may be able to find out for you!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
