Fit Review Friday! Vinyasa Scarf Braided, Wunder Under Crop Hi-Rise, Sun Runner Crop, True Self Bra, Trapeze Twist Tank, Zara & Anthropologie!

TGIF everyone!  Tonight I'm heading to Lakewood Amphitheater to see The Cure!  It's my favorite band ever and probably my 15th time seeing them live.

Anyway, yesterday I went to Lululemon to check out some new items.  I saw the new braided Vinyasa Scarf.  I didn't try it on, but from the looks of it on the counter I wasn't that impressed with it.

I did try on the Wunder Under Crop Hi-Rise in the space dye seal gray.  I actually really liked how it felt but the hi rise is just too high on me.  The waist covers up my belly button.  If it came in the regular mid rise version, I would probably consider it.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and take a size 4 in most bottoms and tops in Lululemon.

One thing to note, the ankles totally bagged out on me so I have them folded up.  I would have to get these hemmed about 4 inches or so to have them fit over my calves.

I love the fabric.  It felt very soft to touch and just the right amount of stretch.  This is the kind of legging I would totally live in.

These are decently opaque.

Next up I tried on the new Sun Runner Crop and really love the fit of these.  My usual size 4 fit absolutely perfect throughout the waist, thigh and even the calves!

Seriously look at how well they fit my calves.  No bagging at all.  I was super surprised.  The color is pretty cute but I think if I bought these I would rather get them in space dye seal gray color way.

However, and this is a pretty big one.  These are majorly see-through.  I'm wearing these light colored lilac undies with a purple outline and you can totally see it here in the picture.

See-through!  =(

You could always buy these and wear nude colored underwear but let's be realistic, who wants to think about these things when you're in a rush just trying to get a workout in?  I wouldn't want to add another problem to my already complicated everyday life.

I'm heading to another store this weekend and will see if they have the other color in gray to try on.  Will report back if they have the same issue.

I did manage to snag this True Self Bra in the lilac/wave color.  It was on mark down for $39.  This is my first time buying this style so I'm not sure how I'll like it.  But I'm a big fan of the Free To Be Wild Bra and this one felt pretty comfortable when I tried it on in the store.  This bra also has adjustable shoulder straps which is a plus.

I also tried on the Trapeze Twist Tank.  I apologize for not taking any photos but I wasn't wearing the right bra for it.  You need to have a strapless bra on I think, otherwise the straps just show in the front and I didn't like how it looked.  I tried on my usual size 4 and it fit.  One other thing I had a difficult time with was getting my head through the tank.  I wear glasses and it wasn't fun at all!  The opening is so small, and I don't even have a big head...  (That's what he said).

Since I was at the mall and was just killing time I also stopped by Anthropologie and Zara since they were both have major sales.  Actually everyone is having a sale.  They're all getting ready for fall items.

I'm still looking for a light weight wrap to wear here in Hotlanta.  I tried on the Tavira Kimono because of the length, but something about the design and stripes seem to be lacking.  Plus at $118 I better love it!  So I passed even though the material was super soft and silky.  Also, it isn't on sale.

Next stop- Zara.  I tried on this Lapel Jacket.  The color is mink and I thought looked nice on me.  It also comes in dusty pink but it looked more like ivory to me.  I actually should have also tried on the ivory but then would probably pass since I can't keep anything clean for a second.

This is faux suede but it feels super soft and silky.  Not bad for $49.90.  The sleeves could have been more fitted but it isn't a deal breaker.

The length looks good on my petite frame.  This would make a super nice layering piece for fall with some black leggings and boots with a tee.

And since I no longer have a job at the moment I thought this tee was very apt.  Can't wait to wear it! And for $12.99 I couldn't say no.

That's all for today, have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Love the Zara wrap 😊 I am feeling a bit meh about Lulu at the moment, have been buying more Athleta as I love that they do Petite and their stuff fits and performs well. My collection is pretty full so getting pickier 😊

  2. Yes! I wish Lululemon would do petite. If I recall Athleta doesn't sell their petite sizes at the store? Or am I wrong? Maybe I'll stop by Athleta as well and see what they have. Zara surprisingly has some nice things. I used to shop there a lot but haven't bought anything from them in a few years. Sometimes it is nice to wear non athleisure clothes and dress up a bit.

  3. Hey! I saw the Vinyasa braid in store and loved it so much that I bought it. I tried it on as a vest and the braid going down the back was a nice feature. I also like how the space dye colour went well with my Heathered black clothes. The price is expensive for a Vinyasa though.

    1. Oh really? I didn't try it on. I wonder if I did, would I have liked it? I have so many vinyasa scarves I probably don't need another though! I might get it if it goes on mark down though... $68 is a lot.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Review! Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Size Small Plus Video

You all know I love my bags, and as a Balenciaga collector, I don't often stray from the City and First style. The Rodeo (pronounced like Rodeo Drive) really caught my eye. It gives off a slouchy Hermes Kelly vibe, but way more practical to use.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall. Balenciaga Rodeo Bag Small The Rodeo can be carried a few ways. It comes with a crossbody strap that is not adjustable but it is removable. Not sure why anyone wouldn't add a few extra holes to make a strap adjustable these days. Come on Balenciaga! Do better! The top handle is a bit too long for this to work anyhow, I feel like the top handle gets in the way. It sticks out and doesn't sit well in my opinion. I wouldn't carry this bag crossbody unless it was an unforeseen emergency and I really needed my hands free. This bag looks more chic carried by the handle or crook of the arm. It also looks nice left open with the help of the flap tucked in. The Rodeo resembles the Kelly bag ...

Review! Lululemon's Large Everywhere Belt Bag Size Comparison Plus Video!

Happy Friday! I can't believe it's almost Halloween! I actually have a dentist appointment on Halloween. One of my molars chipped and needs to be filled in. It's a tiny chip that I didn't even notice until my dentist pointed it out to me during my last visit. I'm not looking forward to it at all since I will need local anesthesia. Anyway, today I have a belt bag size comparison review for you all! For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms.
