Why Lululemon

Back in 2012 I was really addicted to Anthropologie for clothing.  Sometimes I shopped at Zara and Free People too, but Anthropologie was my favorite.  I also started working out that year and got into the best shape of my life.

For workout clothes I just bought some cheap stuff from Target.  $20 crops and $15 sports bras.  Nothing fancy.  But then I started browsing at Victoria's Secret for their sports bras and yoga shorts.  To this day, I still prefer Angel by Victoria's Secret Sports Bra.  This is my favorite workout bra ever and hope they never discontinue it!

My introduction to Lululemon was very slow.  I'd seen the shopping bags all over the city being carried around by women everywhere.  My sister owned a hoodie that looked very nice on her and I liked how fitted it was.  Most of the hoodies I owned were very casual and loose fitting.

My first Lululemon purchase was actually a present for my sister.  I think I picked another hoodie or jacket.  It wasn't until early this year that I actually bought something for myself from Lululemon.  I ended up buying a pair of Wunder Unders in bordeaux cotton.

Now I actually don't wear too much Lululemon to work out in, even though that's what it's mainly intended for.  I pick the pieces that I can wear out casually.  But I do own a bunch of swiftly tanks that work double duty.  I also own some speed shorts that I do go running in.  I have a bunch of CRBs that I wear out but never workout in.  Wonder Unders, High Times pants and In the Flow Crops I wear out casually.  Apparently it's a trend called Athleisure wear.

Last time I went to Lululemon, I tried on the Fluffin Awesome Jacket and High Times pants and the combo is awesome.  They are both on my wish list.  I am hoping the high times pants go on WMTM because I can't justify spending $98 on those.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches on a good day, and weigh about 97 pounds.  I'm usually a size 4 in tanks and a 2 in hoodies and coats.  Pants I'm almost always a size 4 or a size 6.  Pictured here, the coat is a size 2 and the pants are a size 4.

Here are some of my favorite websites to shop at:

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
