I spent my birthday KonMari-ing my closet

A couple of years ago I bought Marie-Kondo's book " The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up " and tried to implement it towards my closet. However I did not pull out every single item from my closet as she suggests you do. I did sections at a time. This time, I did it her way. It took me 20 minutes to clear out my closet. Which isn't bad in my opinion. I thought it would take a lot more time. I started this at 10:30 am. Here are photos of my entire closet emptied out onto the bed. I started going through the giant pile one piece at a time. If I still liked the item and it made me happy, I put it back in the closet. For items I no longer liked I had to decide if it was something I could sell, something I could donate, or something I could give to my sister or friend. Marie Kondo advises not to give items away to family or friends because it will burden them. It's not good to transfer the burden is what she says. I get that, but my sister also donates c

Store Try Ons! Hooded Define Jacket & Sundown Wrap

Happy Friday everyone! Thank you all for the birthday wishes and encouragement on cleaning out my closet! I'll have a post written up soon and I'll talk about how that went. A while back I tried on the Hooded Define Jacket  in my normal size 4 (check out my original review here ) and  found it way too tight. I've been meaning to try it again in the next size up. I've never been a size 6 in my life, but there's always a first!  Hooded Define Jacket Lacescape Spanish Rose Size 6 This jacket is made out of nulu, and it is amazingly soft to touch. The size 6 feels so much better than the size 4. The sleeves however are very long on me. I did pull them up a bit and that did the trick without looking or feeling bunched up. I'm sure the print helped camouflage the extra fabric around my arms. Sleeves are very long. This jacket felt very comfortable on. The length of the jacket hits at the hip and does not fully cover the bum. It's

Find Your Calm Wrap Dark Olive Since I'm on a ban for this month, I started my wish list (which means adding items to my cart). Hopefully some of the items I want will still be there in March. It's a short month at least! Only 23 more days to go. 😂 The  Find Your Calm Wrap in Dark Olive  intrigues me. I also really like the azurite poppy print. I really want to try the  Still Mind Crop  because it's made of nulux and the  Wunder Under Crop Roll Down  in the scallop version is also on my list. I'm hoping the next time I go to the store there will be some items for me to try on.  For those who commented on my last post about KonMarie-ing my closet (which I will be doing tomorrow, wish me luck) thank you! I will try and document as I go and write a post about my experience. It will be everything in my closet, so I think it will take me all day. Happy Birthday to me? 😆 For those of you not on a ban, did you order anything? If you are on a ban with me what

Frugal February & More Photos of Sunrise Silhouette

I was hoping to take more photos of the Sundown Wrap  over the weekend but it didn't happen. I hope to have more photos by Friday's post. I did however manage to take some photos of the sunrise silhouette print that I'm obsessed with right now and as you can see I also bought the matching bra! The bra is not as colorful as the Speed Up Short , they look more subdued and muted. I still love it though. It's rare for me to have anything matching when I workout. This is a first! Free To Be Wild Bra Speed Up Short As some of you know it's February and this is when I try and go on a ban from spending needlessly. Even though I did relatively well for January I would like to continue to do even better for February. I did place a couple of orders at the end of January so I will have some fit reviews coming up. I'll probably also visit the stores a little more for some try on posts.  I'll be spending the entire month of February cleanin
