Fit Review! Athleta Tugga Sherpa Jacket and Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. How's everyone's holiday shopping going? Are you almost done? I'm about halfway there. Today I have an Athleta review of their sherpa items.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches and typically a size XXS/PXS/XS in Athleta.

Tugga Sherpa Jacket Natural Size XS

I reviewed this jacket last month in the black size PXS and returned it because I felt it was too cropped. I decided to reorder it in the size XS in the color natural. Maybe it's the color and the longer length, but it totally made a huge difference. It is a much better fit. The natural color is a very pretty cream shade.

The sleeves are a little long, but I like the slight slouch. It's not overly ridiculous on me. I really love the natural color and the dark burgundy accents that turns this sherpa jacket into a sporty varsity jacket. It's semi fitted and roomy enough to layer underneath. I do have one gripe about this jacket. It is not lined and the sherpa is also on the inside. Normally, this wouldn't bother me, but the zipper from the outside pocket kind of pokes at me and I can feel the zipper on the inside. It's hard to explain, but if there was a lining, it would have masked that. The jacket feels thin and light weight but in actuality it is very warm. I've already worn it out in 40 degree temperatures here at night and it's been warm and cozy. This one is a keeper!

I also decided to try the Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket in black. I am wearing a size XS. I would have ordered the XXS but the size was sold out. In this case, I definitely needed the smaller size. The XS is really big on me.

Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket Black Size XS

The length isn't bad. It hits about mid thigh. The sleeves however are much longer. The jacket looks very oversized on me. While the oversized look is definitely on trend at the moment, I don't think it suits my petite frame. I will say that this jacket is super warm and cozy. It would definitely get you through the next snow apocalypse!

The hood is ginormous!

  1. I really like the regular length Tugga jacket on you, I have the black and olive green colors and have worn both a number of times. The xs looks much better on you than the xxs. I actually went with the tall length and it gave me an extra inch of fabric. I don’t like jackets that are super cropped.

The Tugga Long Sherpa Jacket does look quite big on you! I kept mine, which makes me look like the marshmallow puff guy on Ghostbusters, but it’s so soft and warm and I’ve worn it a lot up here in the mountains where I live.

    2. It gets super cold and windy where I live and I told my husband I would need a vast aray of warm clothing if we lived in the middle of nowhere!! :D

  2. The short jacket definitely looks much better than the long version on your petite frame. The color makes it look like a big marshmallow LOL! Must be warm and cozy! The hood of the long jacket is a deal breaker to me. Don’t mind the overall oversized look but why such a gigantic hood?!!

I was at Lululemon over the weekend and saw the Warm Restore Sherpa Wrap in Heathered White which reminded me of an Old English Sheepdog! :D. I don’t like how it looks when unbuttoned so didn’t even bother to try it on. Can’t believe the black one is sold out online already!

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
