Fit Review! Athleta Ritual Jacket, Tugga Sherpa Jacket, Ultra Hi-Rise Shimmer Tight in Powervita

Happy Friday everyone! I've got an Athleta haul to review for this week's Fit Review Friday.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically a size 4 in Lululemon tops and bottoms. This is equivalent to a size XXS or PXS in Athleta.

Right off the bat, this jacket feels super soft. Kind of like how my cats feel. 😂 I love this color pink. It's the perfect romantic pink that makes me feel pretty. It sort of makes me look like a marshmallow puff though. The jacket is thickly padded on the inside. It is unbelievable cozy and will definitely keep you warm.

The length hits above the bum. If you're looking for more coverage, this won't be it. The sleeves are long, but not overly so that it bothers me. The oversized hood adds to the cute factor.

If you're looking for a super soft plushy jacket, this is it. The O ring zipper is sturdy but something about it makes it look a little cheap to me. I wish the zipper pull was something other than the O ring. I didn't find the jacket to be flattering on my frame. I think it would work better for someone taller than my 4 feet 11 inches.

Next up we have the Tugga Sherpa Jacket. It looked really cute on the model, but on me not so much. It looks very boxy and shapeless. Usually black works well on me, but not in this jacket. This is a size PXS, but the proportions are just off.

The sherpa feels very soft to touch. The jacket looks better from the side, but from the front it just doesn't work. I think it's a little too cropped and a little too wide. It is possible that the regular size XXS might be more flattering.

The high neck collar when zipped up with definitely keep you warm. The sleeves have a long wrist cuff. I'm not 100% sold on that. It looks a little weird to me. This jacket gets amazing reviews though. It's just not for me.

Last, I have the Elation Ultra Hi-Rise Shimmer Tight in antique burgundy. I was pretty excited to try these since they came in petite and the 24 inch length is perfect. The ankles fit as they should! How exciting is that?

The powervita fabric didn't feel as soft because of the shimmer effect. It actually feels a little bit scratchy if I'm being honest. However, they really do look sleek and makes me feel like a million bucks. The waistband is high, but hits my belly button. They fit snug, but not overly tight. The comfort is still there. I think if the fabric didn't feel scratchy I would have kept these. But after my recent Werkshop purchase, these did not feel quite as nice.

Even though none of the items worked out for me this time, I still think Athleta is worth checking out. These new items have piqued my interest, especially the Inclination Moto Leggings. They remind me of the alo yoga ones I tried on but returned because the length was insanely long.

(I want to try this... but I don't need another hoodie!)

In other news, I noticed a lot of new items on WMTM. Here are my picks.

($69! Amazing price)

That's it for me! Hope you all have a great weekend!

    1. Same here... Still looking for the perfect one. I also really want some kind of faux fur jacket. There's one I've been eyeing but it's pretty expensive. So I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Maybe there will be a black friday sale!

  3. The Ritual Jacket is cute but it looks a bit too boxy on you. I would love the hem to be more hugging. The color is pretty though.

The Tugga Sherpa Jacket looks better from the side than the front as you’ve said. Love the high collar but the proportion is off.

The Elation Ultra Hi-Rise Shimmer Tight in antique burgundy is a keeper! Fits you perfectly and love everything about it! Definitely a keeper!

    1. Thanks Andrea! The tights are definitely the best fitting I've come across in a while. I want to try them in the Inclination Moto Legging too. The colors are so pretty.

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...
