Review! Mark Cross Archer 32 - The Oldest American Luxury Brand

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! I am super excited to share this review with you all. I have been looking at this Mark Cross bag for well over a year now and finally pulled the trigger when they had their Fourth of July sale. I've had this bag in my collection for almost two months. If you have never heard of Mark Cross before, I would not be surprised even though they are the oldest American luxury brand. Mark Cross was founded in 1845 in Boston, Massachusetts. They started off as a horse furnishing store before pivoting to luxury goods. Please check out my video for more of their history and how they stack up against The Row and Hermès.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

I fell in love with the Archer 32 in Chocolate. The leather is super supple and buttery calfskin. Amazing hand feel. It's the kind of bag you just want to caress all day long. 😅 There's only two ways you can carry this bag; handheld or over the shoulder.

I'm mainly a crossbody gal and I do not usually go for shoulder bags, but this is a bag that you can hold by the top handle or carry by the crook of the arm. When I use this bag, I make sure I'm not going shopping because when I shop I prefer to be hands free. I'll typically use this bag when I'm going out to eat, run some errands, and keep my walks short.

The Archer bag is the epitome of quiet luxury. There's no branding anywhere on the bag. Not even a tiny logo like The Row has on the bottom of their bags. Mark Cross only shows their branding on the inside of their bags.

Let's take a closer look at the details

I cannot emphasize enough how luxurious this bag is. Their calfskin is some of the best I have ever felt on a handbag. This is the kind of leather that will get scratches and will patina over time. Which I know is not for everyone. If you prefer a more worry free leather, I would try their tumbled grain version of this bag.

The zipper is very smooth and the handles are flat and very comfortable when holding the bag.

The inside lining is suede goatskin which is a complete show stopper. The Archer bag does not sacrifice quality at all. This bag is 100% pure luxury. (For those wondering, yes, I did remove the blue plastic sticker in my video.)

Even the lining inside the pocket is suede!

(Has five feet, which is very nice.)

I am super happy to finally have this bag in my collection. I can't wait to use her even more. I'm already eyeing another Mark Cross bag.

If this bag ever comes back in stock, I will get it to try. Mason 24 in Acorn

Have you ever heard of Mark Cross? Let me know in the comments if you would purchase one of their bags. I think this is one of the few brands that is actually worth the money. It's not about logos, it's luxury in its purest form. That's it for me, hope you all have a wonderful start to a brand new week!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
