Fit Review Friday! Banana Republic Cropped Denim Trench Coat and Anthropologie Pilcro Shrunken Denim Jacket

Happy Friday! I've been on the hunt for a denim jacket for fall. I really liked Vuori's Vintage OS Denim Jacket but the XXS is sold out and I haven't seen it restocked. It's also $188 so it has to be a perfect fit which is why I don't want to settle for XS. Let's find out if Pilcro's or Banana Republic's Denim jacket are keepers.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size XS or PXS.

I love the wash of this denim blue jacket. Pilcro really did an amazing job on the color and fading. I'm a fan of color variation on denim, I think it makes it look more interesting and lived in. Gives it a little bit of character without having to heavily distress the denim.

I'm wearing size XS and the length hits at my waist which is fine, it's not too cropped. However, it makes my body look very rectangular which isn't doing me any favors. Sleeves are a bit too long and I have them cuffed up once. Overall, I think it's an okay denim jacket but I am looking for something a little more flattering.

Next up, we have Banana Republic's Cropped Denim Trench Coat. I picked this one because of the dark wash, I prefer dark denim over light denim. I absolutely love the flared collar. It has a zipper and snaps so you could change up the look.

I'm wearing size XXS and the body fits loose, but still works on my petite frame. The length hits at my lower hip. However, the sleeves are too long and too wide.

(Looks great open too!)

I just could not get over the sleeves. I think it ruined the jacket for me. If only the sleeves are not so wide, I would have kept this one.

From the back, it looks like a cape. I love the details of this jacket.

Overall, I am sad that this one didn't work out because I had high hopes for this jacket. I am happy that Banana Republic is stepping up their game. I'm sure this jacket will work for regular folks, but I need petite sizing for this. I am disappointed Banana Republic is not offering more jackets in petite sizing. I really need it for this piece! The denim is also very soft. I absolutely would have loved to wear this one in the fall.

What do you think? Am I making the right call on returning both of these denim jackets? That's it for me, hope you all have a fantastic weekend! Enjoy the last weekend of summer and don't forget to check out all the sales! For those in the US, enjoy the long weekend.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
