Review! Rothy's Ivy Sneaker

Happy Friday! We made it through another week. I've been looking for a pair of low profile sneakers. I've been eyeing a few other brands, but settled on Rothy's to try first because of the color and price. At $145 these aren't exactly cheap, but I was eyeing another pair that was $100 more! 😳 It made Rothy's look reasonable.

For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in sneakers.

When I took these out of the box, I could tell right away they were going to be a bit narrow. I had to loosen up all the laces and swapped out my thick socks for a pair of thin socks. That was the only way I could get these on. My thick Bombas socks were too much of a struggle.

Other than being slightly narrow, everything else was a perfect fit.

Rothy's ships their shoes in just the cardboard box to be more environmentally friendly. There's minimal packaging. No plastic bag, just the box and tissue liner.

I did like that they came with an extra set of laces. The polka dots add a touch of playfulness to an otherwise sporty look.

The outside feels like a velvety suede finish. It's hard to believe these are knit from plastic bottles. I swear it's like magic. I would have never guessed in a hundred years these are made out of plastic bottles.

One thing I didn't love are the soles. They felt a little bit too thin. I prefer a bit more cushion underneath my feet. I will say these look amazing. I love the stripes and retro vibes. I love that you can swap out the laces for a different look. I just wish they were a little bit wider and the sole a little more substantial. They would have been a keeper. I will keep looking for a pair similar to the Ivy Sneaker.

Do you have a favorite pair of low profile stripe sneakers? Let me know in the comments below. That's it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

New Mooncat collection is dropping Friday 8/21! I am definitely picking up a few colors. My picks are Nyarrian Nights, Blueberry's Jam, Electromagnetic Furball, The Zoomies, and Litterbox! Honestly I should just get the whole set. It's a planet where cats rule. 😆 I am super excited for this!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
