Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Daydrift Low Rise Capri Pant and Faded French Terry Full Zip Hoodie SLNSH

Happy Friday! It's been a little while since I had a Lululemon review. I've been eyeing the Daydrift Low-Rise Capri Pant since it was released. I couldn't decide between Nomad and Sand. Nomad eventually sold out so the choice was made for me! I probably should have went with Nomad though. 😩

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 and typically wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon tops and bottoms. I also wear size PXS in Athleta.

I'm wearing size XS and it's a near perfect fit. It's not too loose or too tight and feels super comfortable. I'm just not sure if I like where it hits on my legs. It ends a little bit below my knees. Does it look weird? I think it kinda does? Let me know in the comments if this is a return. I'm undecided.

These are supposed to be low-rise and it hits just below my belly button, which for me is more like mid-rise. The waist band is pretty stretchy and these are pull-on pants. The fabric feels cool to the touch and really smooth, almost a bit technical with four-way stretch.

Here's a full length photo. I'm going to leave this one up to you guys! 😁 Currently on sale for $99 which is still pricey for what it is, but that's everything these days!

Maybe I should have paired these with sandals instead. 😅

I really love the look of this hoodie. I don't have a brown hoodie in my closet and this one has subtle fading that I love. It's not very noticeable in person, but the photos definitely bring it out more. I think it looks really cool.

I'm wearing size XS and this is slightly oversized, but will be perfect for layering. The sleeves are a little long, but not enough to bother me. This is also on sale for $134, which is much better than the retail price of $188!

This hoodie is made out of organic cotton and has a heavy weight to it. The outside is soft, but the inside actually feels a little rough to me. It's not quite as soft as I was hoping for. Otherwise I really like the look of this hoodie. It also has a two way zipper which is nice to have.

I'm leaning towards keeping this even with the rough lining. What do you guys think? Is there a chance it can soften up over time with washing? That's it for me, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Hi Leslie! I think the capri fits you properly, but the length is not very flattering on petites. The hoodie looks nice! Lululemon's prices are really getting out of hand. Even with the markdown, $138 is a bit steep for a hoodie!

    1. Hi Karen! Agree the length is too long.

I'm afraid the prices will just keep going up. $138 is steep for a hoodie. At least it's organic cotton.

  2. I'm not really a fan of the capris - they didn't appeal to me on the website either. They're giving lederhosen vibes, I think, lol! The fabric looks really nice though! I like the look of the Straight Leg Trousers on the website, but I know the rise will be way too high, and the short inseam is still too long.

The hoodie is pretty cool, but I agree, the price is steep! Also, if you find the lining rough, are you going to reach for it much?

    1. Hi Lola, I sized up in the straight leg Daydrifts so they would sit a little lower. I got the short length but did need to hem them a bit still. Light Ivory is on sale for $59 right now, which I think is a good price!

Leslie, if it’s not a hell yes these days, it’s a no for me! Things are so expensive, and my closet is already full. I do really like the Sand color, though.

    2. Hi LZ, $59 is a really decent price! I might have to reconsider them...

    3. I agree with LZ. If it’s not a definite yes, it’s a big fat no.

The length of the capris is not the most flattering. And the prices are out of control!

    4. Hi Lola! Lederhosen Vibes!!! HAHAHAH Ok def returning those. Still debating on the hoodie. I'll decide this weekend.

Hi LZ! So true though.... I need to look at my purchases like that. It'll def keep me from letting things stay in my closet!

Anonymous - Yes, completely agree, pricing is insane for a hoodie on sale!

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
