Fit Review Friday! Athleta Seasoft Wide Crop Pant and Seasoft Mid Rise 4 inch Short

Happy Friday! Hope you're all having a great summer so far. I am absolutely loving Athleta's latest shade of purple - Nocturnal. I grieved when Athleta stopped making their Seasoft pants in cropped length. They are now back but with an updated wide leg silhouette. The 90s are so back it's making me feel old. My mom probably felt the same way when I wanted to wear flares in the late 90s. She actually still had a pair in her closet from the 70s. Unfortunately they did not fit me!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon.

I had tried on a pair of Seasoft Mid-Rise Short at the store a couple of months ago, but finally bought them when they went on sale. I'm happy I waited! I went with size XXS this time around, but I can also wear size XS as well. It just really depends on the mood I'm in. Do I want a slightly more fitted look, or do I want a more casual fit? Both sizes are equally comfortable. Jungle green actually reminds me of Lululemon's Gray Sage. That's probably why I love it. These shorts feel super soft and comfy, great for summer. This may be my third pair.

I ordered the petite and regular length for the Seasoft Wide Crop Pant. Sometimes I prefer the regular length, sometimes the crop length looks better on my frame. Here is the regular length and I'm wearing size XS.

Length measures 21.5"
Leg opening measures 23"

Nocturnal is gorgeous, it's such a beautiful dusty purple/brown that can shift lighter or darker depending on the lighting. This color has a lot of depth. These are indeed wide leg crops. The length hits slightly above my ankle in the regular length.

I will say Seasoft pants have the comfiest waistband.

Length measures 18.5"
Leg opening measures 20"

The petite length hits at the shin and I think this is the correct length for me. The regular sizing just makes the pant look a little too short. It's sort of that in-between look. Not exactly a crop, but also not full length.

What do you think of the wide leg crop length? Is it a keeper? I will let you all decide for me! I have a few pairs of Softstreme pants already but wouldn't mind adding this gorgeous dusty purple. Let me know in the comments which length you prefer.

That's all for me today. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

(This finally dropped on the site, I added to cart. I love the color.)

(This set is actually very cute.)

  1. Oh, the wide leg crops are really cute!! I prefer where the petite sizing hits on you. I used to be so against crops and thought they made my short legs look shorter....but I am short. I'm now embracing them!

    Enjoy the weekend, Leslie! :)

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
