Fit Review Friday! Lululemon Sleek Spacer Full Zip Hoodie, Swiftly Relaxed Long Sleeve Shirt Hip Length Updated Fit, Softstreme Pique Mid Rise Short 4"

Happy Friday! Last weekend I stopped by Lululemon to see if they had any of the Sleek Spacer items for me to try on. Not only did they have the Full Zip hoodie, they also had the Half Zip but as soon as I picked up the Half Zip I could tell it was way too oversized even in the XXS. Needless to say the Sleek Spacer line runs ginormous. 😩

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon tops and bottoms.

I'm wearing size XXS and it is very oversized. I think this may be the only time I would ever want size XXXS. It's very wide and boxy. The sleeve length is long as expected, however the length of the hoodie was actually fine. It hit at the hip which is how I like my hoodies.

The weight of the Spacer material is actually quite heavy. It feels great, very smooth with medium thickness, but feels hefty. The hood itself was fairly heavy. I think I'm sized out in this hoodie. As much as I wanted to love this hoodie, I'm glad it isn't petite friendly because the price is ridiculous!

Next up, Cindy wanted to know if the Swiftly Relaxed Updated Fit could be a size down item and I can confirm it definitely is. I normally like to wear size 6 in the fitted Swiftly tops, sometimes even a size 8. For the relaxed updated fit, I sized down to a 2! I'm wearing the hip length version and I actually find it to be quite flattering tucked into a pair of jeans. 😍

I really love how it looks. I think if it manages to hit WMTM, I will pull the trigger. Loving the Slate gray color too. My only complaint is how long the sleeves are, but that's something I'm very used to at this point in my life.

The fit is 100% spot on for me. I even like the length! I just searched to see if they make the relaxed fit in the waist length and couldn't find it on the website. Does anyone know if that exists?

Last but not least are the Softstreme Pique MR Short. I didn't have high hopes for this to be honest. I'm wearing size small which fits in the waist, but it's too big everywhere else. My thighs are way too small to pull this off. It makes my legs look too thin. 😫

I can't even look at these photos. 😆

I love the fabric, but this is an easy pass. That is it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Thanks for the fit review especially on the relaxed swiftly updated fit. It looks fantastic on you. Is the fabric of that hoodie similar to the varley ones? Even though it’s oversized it still looks ok on you. So pricey. Have you ever tried Kit and Ace. I think the son of Chip Wilson , original founder of lulu started that company. I find lot of their items are not petite friendly but I found the most perfect sweater from there. Too bad the price wasn’t so perfect. It’s called the Esme sweater in the relaxed fit version.

    1. Oh, I have a couple of Kit and Ace shirts from several years ago! I kind of forgot about them!! I think they were cashmere blend technical shirts? It's a very small amount of cashmere if I remember correctly, but super soft.

I agree that the hoodie still looks cute on you, Leslie! If it wasn't for the sleeves and the price, it would be a nice oversized, trendy piece. Way too much for a trendy piece though. I love the fit of the LS Swiftly on you.

  2. Hi Leslie! Thanks for the fit review! I was at Lululemon yesterday and saw the sleek spacer pant. I liked the fabric, but think it's more suitable for hoodies than pants. I didn't see the hoodie at the store, so I'm glad you did. I like the oversized fit on you!
I don't think the relaxed Swiftly comes in waist length, but the looser fit is flattering! Good to know that we need to size down 2 sizes for this.

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
