Fit Review! Athleta Stellar Trench and Seasoft Full Zip

Is it Monday already? I have a short and sweet Athleta store try-on for you all! If you're interested to see a comparison between Zephyr and Abalone, you're welcome! I'm wearing the Seasoft Full Zip in Zephyr and a Seasoft Pant in Abalone. Zephyr definitely has yellow undertones.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS or XXS in Athleta. I also wear size 4/6 or XS/S in Lululemon.

I'm wearing size XXS in the Seasoft Full Zip and I think it fits great. This hoodie also comes in petite sizing as well. I think I could get away with wearing XXS or PXS. Either one would be fine on me.

I think this is true to size, semi fitted and very comfortable. If you want a slightly looser fit, I would size up. The XXS is very petite friendly. This hoodie is the perfect spring layer. I'm definitely interested in replacing some of my older hoodies with one of these.

It also comes in a really pretty light blue called Current. It reminds me of a  light seafoam/minty color. I love it. Price is $109 which is steep. I'm going to wait for a 30% off sale. I hope to see it in more colors too.

I love a good trench coat. I wish Atlanta had more of a brisk/rainy season, but by the time April rolls around, it's too warm for a trench coat. I'm wearing size XS and it is a little too big. This does come in petite sizing which is great. I think petite XS would fit much better.

The black color is classic, but it also comes in a very nice gray/blue shade called Slate. I think it looks really flattering, especially when worn open.

I love the slightly oversized lapels. The fabric is very smooth and structured without feeling stiff. The fabric is medium weight and too warm for Atlanta. If I was living in the northeast, I would get this! Price is $299 which I think it s a little steep. Definitely wait for a discount on this one.

That's it for me! I hope you all have an awesome Monday!

  1. The Seasoft Full Zip is pretty cute! I'm glad to know the regular size is petite-friendly. I agree, the price is pretty steep. I hope they release more colors - I'm not too excited about the colors offered in it right now.

The trench is fabulous. Again, I agree the price is too steep. I'm glad Athleta has frequent sales!

    1. Hi Lola! Agree, want more color options, but Athleta doesn't release a million different colors like Lululemon, so I think we may be stuck with these 3. At least for a long time.

Athleta has sales I think once a month... just have to be patient!

  2. Thank you for the color comparison between Zephyr and Abalone, Leslie! I have a couple items in Abalone (Abalone Grey when I got them) and I personally like it better than Zephyr with yellow undertones. The Seasoft hoodie is lovely but the price is too steep. Actually everything is getting so expensive and I believe retail sales will be deeply impacted.

    1. Hi Andrea! I was wondering about the comparison myself. I am glad I was able to compare it in person. I definitely prefer Abalone.

This is 100% going to be the case. I'm glad my challenge is to only purchase 24 items this year. It really puts things into perspective. With all the prices going up, I might only be able to afford less than that! Haha! I really have to be picky.

  3. All the coats look great on you. The black coat seems autumn-ish? I like the style, curious if Athleta has it in different colors for the spring rain season? Bought a few items from Athleta online, leaning towards return (clear pouch bag). Trying really hard not to buy anything this week.

    1. Hi Jean L! They have the raincoat available in a nice blue gray called Slate. I prefer it over Black myself.

You can do it! Just don't look or add to cart and then immediately close out the tab. Try to forget about it for a week. If you still want it, then maybe consider it!

  4. Current is really pretty! The trench is super flattering. I love it!! I'm in the same boat though. I live in California and that trench coat would probably become a "museum piece" in my closet. I have a nice coat that I haven't worn for a few years, but I feel compelled to keep it since it does come in handy when I go to a more formal event (and a vuori alpine jacket just won't fit with a fancy dress, haha!)

I agree with everyone else. The prices are getting too high at some of these companies and the quality or design is not improving. It's ironic because they jack up the price, people slow or stop their buying as a result and then the companies complain that retail is dying. It will be interesting to see what happens.

    1. Hi Stacy! It's just hard to justify the prices these days. I guess it's better off for my bank account. It's not complaining! Initially I thought 24 items for the year might be a hard challenge. It's turning out to be quite manageable. I am interested to see what happens with retail spending.

Sometimes I miss living in colder climate because of all the cute winter outfits I don't get to wear anymore, but only for a few minutes! 😅

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
