Review! Shinola Runwell Satchel

I've been eyeing Shinola's bags and when the Runwell Satchel went on sale in nubuck, I decided to pull the trigger. The Runwell Satchel reminds me of old school travel bag.

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall.

Check out my video to see what fits!

This is a large sized bag. You can carry it by the top handle or use the strap for shoulder or crossbody wear. The strap is removable which is really nice because I do think for the size and weight of this bag, that the strap is on the thin side. I would want a thicker strap.

I do love how this bag pops against a neutral colored outfit. The merlot is so rich in color. It also looks velvety which really draws the eye.

Let's take a closer look at the details.

Shinola really pays attention to detail and I love how classic their designs are. When I first took this bag out of the box I was surprised at how soft the nubuck feels. It feels velvety and has a super nice hand feel. The handles are rolled and very comfortable to grasp.

The zipper is smooth like butter and the hardware is brass. I think it looks really nice against the merlot.

There's not a whole lot of branding on this bag, and I would consider it to be very minimalist which I love. Stitching is done really well.

The edge paint looks smooth. There's an exterior slip pocket on the back of the bag for your passport or receipts. The bottom of the bag is smooth leather and there are brass feet as well.

The inside of the bag has fabric lining. It feels like it could be heavy cotton canvas. There are two inside slip pockets for your phone and keys. On the opposite side there's a zippered pocket and small card slot.

This bag is currently on sale for under $500! I cannot believe how well made the bag is for the price. It rivals high end bags. I love this bag, but it's just a little too big for an everyday carry for me. If you love big bags, this may be for you.

Even though I am returning this bag, I'm already eyeing the Medium Bixby Crossbody. It seriously reminds me of The Row! Stay tuned because I will have more reviews from Shinola coming. That's it for me, hope you all have a wonderful Monday!

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
