Review! Go Forth Goods Florence XL Crossbody Bag

Happy Friday! I can't believe January is pretty much over. Who crushed the No-Buy Challenge this month? It wasn't terrible, right? It gets easier the more you practice at saying no to buying stuff. I do have a few things on my wishlist and February is my birthday month so I will definitely place an order or two. We're officially moving out this weekend and it's my goal to get back to posting my regular fit reviews soon. Thank you all for your patience and riding this out with me!

Today's review is the big sister to Go Forth Goods Florence Crossbody Bag. I have three in the original size and I was curious about the larger size. I love the size of the original, but the added two inches in the XL gives it a more flattering silhouette in my opinion. Please check out my video to see my comparison review.

When I was at the store back in December, I fell in love with the color Honey. The leather is super lightweight, and very soft in the pliable sort of way. It has some pebbling and the drape and slouch on this bag is perfection. It did arrive feeling a little dry so I conditioned it right away.

Just like the original version, this bag comes with a crossbody strap (however you can now opt out of getting a strap which I will be doing going forward since I never carry this bag as a crossbody) and save $25!

Simi says, "I want my picture taken!"

Let's take a closer look at the details.

The additional 2 inches in length gives it a duffle bag vibe, but I think it looks more proportional than the original. The original has a cube like/boxy shape to it. However, adding the extra two inches does make it a much bigger bag. I almost never need a bag this big. I mainly carry just a few card cases, my keys, phone, mints, and reading glasses for Jared. The OG fits everything and then some but the opening can be challenging.

I didn't ask for too many customizations on this bag. I requested small pebbles and switched the zippered pocket for a hemmed one.

The handles have a five inch drop and I love the double zipper.

The inside of the bag has one side slip pocket and I did switch out the key clip for a D ring. My only complaint is the length is way too short for the D ring. I have to add on an extender to make this D ring usable.

Inside is suede.

I have a story to tell. The very first time I took this bag out for a spin, Jared was slowly backing out of a spot and I thought it was a good time to take a sip of my green tea. I'm trying to stay hydrated because I almost never drink enough liquids. As he's backing out the car detects another car that was too close and it automatically slams on the breaks causing the green tea to spill all over myself and some of it spilled onto the bag. After it dried up, it was mostly gone but you could see a faint outline of where the bag got wet. I conditioned it again with Leather CPA and the spot completely disappeared! It's like it never happened.

😓 It all turned out fine, the bag still looks brand new. 😅

That is it for me today! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and stay safe and warm out there. Wish me luck this weekend. I'll be packing/unpacking all weekend long. 😅

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...
