Fit Review Friday! Athleta Ottoman Rib 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt and In The Clouds Sweatshirt

Happy Friday! I stopped by Athleta last weekend for some try-ons. Does anyone one know when Athleta holiday sales are going to start? Because I really love the Ottoman Rib 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt. It looks very much like Varley's Catherine 1/2 Zip sweatshirt which I love but not the price. If I can get a 30% off code for Athleta, it would be so worth it!

For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and typically wear size PXS in Athleta and size 4/6 in Lululemon.

This sweatshirt is super cozy. I'm wearing size XXS and love how it fits. It is oversized but still flattering. I kind of wish it had pockets on the sides because the length is long enough that I think pockets would have been perfect. However, it does look really sleek without the pockets.

Absolutely love the oversized collar. I am really into this at the moment!

My first choice is Truffle. Bone and Featherstone gray are tied for second choice in this sweatshirt. The wide knit fabric feels soft and plushy. It's super comfortable. Athleta really hit it out of the park with this one! Price is $138.

Next up we have In The Clouds Sweatshirt also in Truffle. I'm wearing size XS and I wish the length was just a little longer. It hits right at the top part of my hips. I would say this sweatshirt runs a little small. If I were to purchase I would probably get a small just for the longer length.

The fleece feels plushy and soft but not super soft.

The waistband does not have a lot of give. It's fairly tight. I also like that there's no hood. That means you could easily layer with a vest.

This is also available in Pine and Sahara. I think Truffle looks the best out of the three choices. I left both items behind but will purchase the Ottoman Rib 1/4 Zip Sweatshirt as soon as I get a coupon code!

That's it for me! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

  1. I love that brown sweater on you! I love the giant neckline and the color it is perfect for the holiday season! I can’t believe how much LLL costs these days I don’t even bother with looking at drops anymore and just check your page! I haven’t commented on every post but I’ve been reading them. Happy weekend -Janessa

    1. Hi Janessa! Happy to see you're still around. 😊Yes, the price increases are getting too high for me to justify buying as much as I used to. Better for my wallet at least. That's one positive spin on it.

  2. Thanks for another great fit review, Leslie!

I was eyeing these two sweaters but not loving the prices. I consider them expensive even with a 40% discount. My wallet is safe with the recent price increases at LLL and Athleta, and so glad I’ve got some really nice items from them when prices were affordable.

    1. Hi Andrea! I know what you mean. I used to sometimes buy from Athleta when it was full priced back in the day, but now I have to wait for a sale. I hear they are having a sale for the card members starting this Friday. I am hoping it's going to be at least 30% off, even then the top I want is still $100 or so. Which I think is a fair price for it. I have some rewards as well that I can apply on top of it. It's worth it to me to get the card. You get way better deals.

Did You Know There Are Two Different Ugg Companies? Review - UGG Lowmel

So I was shocked when I learned a couple of months ago that there are actually two UGG brands. The original UGG since 1974 is the original Australian brand that are made from sheepskin. The other is an American company with the big G uses synthetic fabric and are made in China/Vietnam. Here are the two different logos.  The one the left with the big G in the middle is the company that's made in China/Vietnam. The one on the right is the original UGG since 1974. Each pair is made in Australia! I had no idea and feel so duped. I didn't learn this until after I bought the Lowmel's which are very popular at the moment. But I will order a pair from UGG since 1974 so I can support the original brand. Plus I really want to experience the real thing and I will report back my findings. 😅 That said, I still actually really like the Lowmels. UGG Lowmel Sand   Size Kids 4 I typically wear size 5.5 and I decided to try the kids size 4 which actually fit well, if just a smidge large...

Review! Coach Soft Empire Carryall 40 Merlot

I am super excited about this review! This has been the most anticipated Coach bag since The Rogue came out. At least for me. When I first saw this bag on the purseblog , my eyes widened and I was immediately obsessed. The Soft Empire Carryall comes in four sizes. Size 48 is ridiculously big, I cannot pull it off, but the 40? Perfect. Size 35 and 26 just doesn't give off the same wow factor. This bag is meant to be a statement piece and head turner. Kudos to Stewart Vevers for creating another hit that everyone will be obsessing over for a long time. I hear that more colors will be released soon, and I am hoping the distressed lived-in version will not be exclusive to size 48. In case it doesn't happen, I'll be using my Empire 40 as much as I can to give it a distressed look myself.  For reference I'm 4 feet 11 inches tall and please check out my video to see what fits! Coach Empire 40 Merlot This bag is huge, it's definitely the biggest bag in my collection. ...

First Impressions! On Cloudmonster Void

Happy Friday! I've been branching out into other brands for footwear. I mentioned in a previous post I just don't think my Allbirds are cutting it anymore. Allbirds are more of a casual walking shoe. Anything over 10K, my feet start to hurt. I have tried Hokas, and they seem to be decent so far, I can walk 12K steps a day and haven't had issues. However, I am loving the On Cloudmoster Void even more! For reference I typically wear size 5.5 in Allbirds which is my normal street size for sneakers and I am also wearing size 5.5 in On Cloudmonster Void. On CloudMonster Void Ivory | Wolf Size 5.5 (Currently on sale for 20% off -  $135) I'm not a huge fan of logos on my shoes. I decided on this colorway because I love the light gray and lilac combo and it does have a big On logo, but it blends in nicely with the colors. It still has a minimalistic vibe.  This shoe has a 6mm heel to toe shoe drop. This is a good height if you're a heel to toe striker which I am. This is...
